Motorbike king Valentino Rossi signalled a switch of focus back to his day job today, at the 2006 launch of his Camel Yamaha team in Milan.

The Italian has spent the winter experimenting with a variety of cars and an impressive test with the Ferrari Formula 1 team last month triggered renewed speculation that he looking to exchange two wheels for four in 2007.

Rossi has one year remaining on his current contract with Yamaha, however, and at today

i dont get it , just let him race if he wants so and if he doesnt leave him alone.

maybe they should give him a modified car with only 3 weels for the first season to get accustaimed to more wheels and then in his second give him a 4th :)

Rossi for F1 would be pathetic. We already have enough people I hate in F1 (well, alright, one guy), we don't need him around.

I agree with you on Rossi. But on everything else you type, I disagree and think you're an a##. How stupid are you going to look when Button wins this year

I think rossi would be a good driver in F1 and would be interesting

It would be interesting, but I cant help thinking that if Rossi can switch to f1 so easily and be competitive, then it cant be that difficult. I like to think that us 'normal' people could never drive and control an f1 car. So if Rossi and Biaggi do fast lap times then a part of me thinks I could do it too, those bike guys have never done car races.

And I'd lose a lot of respect for Ferrari if they give a race drive to someone who's never been in a car race
