Hey guys/gals Bathurst is up and running for 2003 on October12th . Check out the v8 supercars at this GREAT track, sure wish the F1 fraternity would race on this track, would sure be some spectale, sort out the Men from the boys :-)

it'd be cool to see a Williams Or Jaguar coming down the hill.....watch the race each year, always a good watch. Plus played it in a few games my favourite part is the dipper.....great to brake into and push al the way through it........ahh well can't wait for october......have the nrl game coming out...the nrl grand final with penrith winning THATS MY TEAM!!!! ....and then bathurst as well as f1

I read an interview with Jean Todt, who suggested the best time and place to trial new weekend formats, the most recent example being the changes to qualifing and the test session, would be to introduce some non-championship races. I think that is a great idea, and what better places than Bathurst, and former circuits (where Fags are otherwise a problem) like Montreal.

I have always thought that Bathurst would be a great place to throw a few F1 cars around, Even if it is something like the Minardis thunder at the park or something of the like. however, i think the track would be too long and the hill too steep for the thoroughbreds. Still, watching a ferrari fly down the conrod straight into the chase would be unforgettable.

I have to agree, Bathurst would be some sight for an F1 car, but a slight bit dangerous considering you can get hail at the top etc.!!

yeah is OK for the V8 drivers in OZ to accept these changing weather conditions, I guess the Prima-Donnas of F1 would have problems, they may get WET

Or worst of all they MAY have to drive according to the conditions, Heaven Forbid that should happen. I Have just finished watching a video of an Australian Grand Prix at Longford in Tasmania and well whilst the speeds were not as High as todays current F1 cars, the driver safety was almost non existent , like not even seat belts, but they still managed 150 MPH down the straights, on skinny tyres and Leaf spring suspension. These guys were DRIVERS in my humble opinion, and they got paid a pittance for their work....

All we hear about now days with regards to the track is that it has a BUMP at the braking area before the corner !!! Get real, one should drive according to the conditions, not try to change them .

A cpl. of yrs ago on the run up to the Monaco GP

Speedvision had a retro look at the race, they showed

every race up till then that had been filmed in 1/2 hr.

shows, I got 20 or so taped, it's great going back and

watching real drivers driving race cars especl. at Monaco

to see them when they had in car film cameras to see Stewart

Icxx,Prost,Senna etc. going through the hairpins with one

hand on the wheel and the other grabbing a handfull a gears

toe-heeling it didn't get any better than that.
