FIA Survey Results

Britain probably has the least schumacher fans of any country, Britain (in general) does not like schumacher, it started with his rivalry with Hill. Schuey knows it himself cos I read an interview a few years ago in 'f1 racing' mag. Schuey is by far the most well-known driver so he has a huge following around the world. And for some reason China and Japan and that area of asia seem to love Enlish sportsmen especially David Beckham so I expect Jenson got a lot of votes there too. On the survey it said that Webber's votes were nearly all from australia

Brits are a strange lot :eusa_think:

We are indeed - I can't argue with that! :D

We love the underdog. I'm not sure if what would happen if the underdog that we supported goes on to dominate a sport - not sure it's ever happened!!

Schumacher has a huge following in Asia, I can especially say in India, we really began to have proper coverage around that time, and for many of us Schumacher had the same impact that Senna had on people about 10 years before that. Of course the Senna worshippers wouldn't believe that to be possible.

Thats cos us English never dominate anything, we're usually the underdog (except in football)!!
