Briatori - 2004 we can be champions

Recommended Posts

:lol::lol::lol:

No offense to Alonso's fans, but Flavio Briatori believes that 2004 they can be F1 champions. Is this possible? I believe in Alonso as a driver but he is not even motivated, as he has already said this year, that Renault has not got a chance this year but maybe 2005.

Can this really happen? I dont know I just think that there is Ferrari,McLaren and Williams out there, are they really going to let this happen?

Of course they wouldn't "let it happen." It would be the day I jump out of my fourth story window that I hear Ron, Frank, or Jean say:

"Right, lads, let's make way for the blue ones."

There are going to be a lot of Champs this year...

Alonso, Barrichello, Button, Coulthard, Montoya, Raikkonen, Schumacher M, Schumacher R, BAR, Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, and Williams.

One thing is certain 11 of those 13 are going to be wrong.

gotta love how the team bosses talk themselves up! truth is how can any of them know where they really stand relative in race conditions untill melbourne?! i don't know about 13 world champions, but one thing they all are is true optimists

Being an optimist is when you say you believe that Takuma Sato will do a good job at BAR…. no wait… that’s called a lie.

Yep, Webber is almost certainly off to Renault in 2005. Flavio will not sell him to Williams and will try to get a driver pairing to rival McLaren’s. From what I’ve seen it looks like Renault and McLaren are going to have the best overall driver line-up for that season while Ralf, with a somewhat heavier pay cheque me thinks, will still occupy one of the Williams seats – how long ago was it now Frank? Ah yes 1997. Remember? That was when your team was good.

does flavio really have an option on webber? didn't know that.

i assumed all the talk of webber being linked to renault was merely cos flavio's his manager and therefore could influence him in that way, with ford having the actual contractual obligations.

Now that we're on exactly 3 weeks to go before the start of the new season, I've been wondering who to follow with Jacques not being in F1. I considered many options, even not following the sport anymore, but going on my analysis of pros and cons of each team, well except for McLaren and Ferrari, they were ruled out immediately, :lol: .

I've decided to follow Renault for 2004 at least and further if Franck Montagny drives for them. When he gets in F1, most likely next year as he had offers to drive for Minardi this year, I'll be supporting him and JV if he happens to find a drive in '05. I'm saying this now so when Renault do well in a race and I come on all happy they've done so, it won't be a case of getting on the bandwagon after their results. I've decided to follow them because their engine gave JV his title, Flav is a legend, come on Naomi Campbell AND Heidi Klum, :lol: , nah really, he calls it as he sees it, plus he's came out in support of Jacques in his time of crisis, Alonso looks to be the heir apparent to M$ throne, and Montagny is in their lineup.

Thus its Renault i'll be following in '04 as well, to a lesser degree Jordan. They'll come back to a degree this year with at least one good driver, plus EJ attended JV's annual charity ski event, which was very good of him. I'll always be a JV fan, but some of us gotta move on. If he returns in '05, or maybe even sometime this year :wink: that's fantastic, but if not, it's Renault, well for the short term anyways.

Phew, its good to get that off my chest. :)
