BAR - showing their hand too early?

i for one am getting more bullish by the day on BAR's chances this year.  almost every day positive news comes out about the 006 or the test team's efforts.

eg today they set the fastest time for the 2nd day in a row at barcelona despite using the concept/hybrid car.  albeit again in qualifying spec, it still has me excited about their chances this year.  

is it all fun n games, ie do you think that they've shown their hand too early and the other top teams have enough in reserve?  

or are BAR really about to step into the premier league relegation zone?

I honestly dont think Jenson Button can go around talking of other "over hyped" drivers like webber, alonso and kimi when, in four seasons he hasnt finished higher that fourth. He did nothing at Williams and was sacked, he did nothing at Renault and was traded and so far at BAR he hasnt exactly set the world on fire. I think DR is hoping for big things from a driver who hasnt got the goods quite frankly. BAR have made bold promises before and not delivered so why will this year be any different?

Sato is a crash machine, so any extra budget they have this year will be neagted with the extraordinary crash bills. I am sorry to say..Good luck, you will need it

gary anderson said that not even half of the crashes were his fault, and the machinery just reflected bad on him. he wouldn't bother saying it if he thought sato was so blatantly reckless. i know he crashed a lot , but the guy's got balls and goes for it. massa's the same. sato's only been racing cars for 5 or so years too so he's only going to get better. i'm sure he's not the only driver to have had the odd crash early in his career.

i also think geoff willis can now do big things for bar and jenson, while you make a good point about him not being on the podium yet, is also ready to step up. not all drivers can be instant podium-sitters, and fisi does have a habit of making drivers look ordinary.
