ok dude why did not JV stay at Williams in 1998. and why did JV not move to a nother team when he knew thay were going bad (like in 2000 or somthing). JV should of stayed with what is a proven team and not just some new hot thing with lots of money (we all know how Toyota are going with the most money). and why do you always say that ist us all DR fult when JV should take some of the blame. JV was the only one doing things in that BAR till last year but nowhes gone. he might come back into F1 next year but i dont think that it will happen

JV left Williams as they were on a slide. They weren't competitive for another 3 years. JV had won the title and wanted to try something new. Is that bad of him?? They had their best year in 2000, so he wanted to stay as they looked like they would keep improving. JV is lambasted for trying something new with this team, but why? Is it a crime to do such a thing. JV left Williams on good terms. Money was no issue as when BAR came calling, he left right away and didnt play teams off against each other as ralf is doing now. Honda also pleaded him to stay with the team. JV is a man of honour and was being loyal, but the JV bashers only see it as greed, but hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how wrong it is  Disregard that last sentence about opinions, just taking the pi$$ out of you mate.

DR is to blame in a big way and i'll fight that to the end. DR came along, totally snobbed off JV at the launch in '01, I know someone who was there, and he told me that. He then came in acting as if it was he who had sacrificed things for 3 years and barged in wanting JV to take a pay cut. When JV didnt and honoured his contract, DR did nothing but publically batter JV's reputation, it's legally called defamation, and I read that JV has grounds to sue for slander if he wanted do considering all the lies DR told the paddock. Whatever JV said would happen with DR at BAR did happen. JV said DR would take the praise for the team going so well when it was Willis and his team, along with a better Honda engine (because of Sato. It's obvious, when JV was there, the engine was crap, Sato comes in, and it's great, although admittedly it has let Taku down lately), and Michelin tyres. As Sir Frank said himself, a driver is always coloured by his car. Put Jacques in a Williams and he'd be up there doing a better job than Ralf or JPM.

i agree with most of what you've said, but i disagree with your connection of honda's increased performance with that of sato's presence. why you would link their improvement with a single factor like sato is giving sato too much praise (and you can't be doing that now can you   ). honda are in f1 to make honda look good, and their increased performance cannot be attributed to teh simple presence of a japanese driver. they went through a form slump and have now bounced back, as simple as that. look at ilmor now, the same thing is happening over there.

the one thing that i dont get is that honda wonted JV to stay at Williams. so then thay join BAR but then JV gets kicked out in 2003 so that Honda can have a Japines driver. and the fact that DR always said that he aimed to have BAr winning the WCC by 2005 and to do this you need 2 very good drivers not just a very good driver and a normail driver. so maby the plan was to get the engines good in 2004 then get JV back for 2005 to win the WCC. but eaven if JV does sue DR, DR will still have 1000000 times more than the money that JV chould get.

Taku, I see your point, what I meant to say was that the Honda engineers are working alot harder now because they have a Japanese driver to motivate them to perform well. Yes, Honda are in it for themselves, but having a fellow countryman in the car with that engine makes alot of people work harder, and thus produce a higher quality product. But whatever it may be, fact is Honda have upped their game and have produced a very powerful and more reliabile engine. Sato has had a couple problems, but nowhere near the amount JV and JB had last year. I remember here in Melb last year they blew up 2 engines in one practice session on the Friday, it was comical!!
