Kimi penalized 10 grid positions

Recommended Posts

This one engine stupid rule are going to kill F1 TV watching, what have Kimi and Jarno deserve to put down to the grid, because of frustrated engines

It is Ilmor and Mercedes Benz fault, they are destroying Kimi's career,Frank should sack Ralf before Imola and hire Kimi,i'm sure of Kimi will not be to greedy for the wage's money, but he is hungry for the WDC this year and he can do it with Williams BMW,I say David Coulthard are lucky with he is leaving them

I am McLaren fan since 1997,when they did show F1 first time in the Icelandic tv,but i think i will turn over to Williams after Ralf and JPM are gone,i'm not going to watch qualy and the race this week- end

that'ts whats bad about f1 your team can break you. not that they do so ,some one might not like him, might be payed ,to slow him down. there is a lot of sick people out three, with to much power. as long as they get payed. there will be ones that won't kimi, to go. there bad everywere in this world. ,f1,beceause of the money and power, people will be bad if they can get away wiith it, for what ever reasons, maybe just hated. :?:

Hi Thor,,

well you live in Iceland, I have been there on holidays and well If you guys can stand the EXISTANCE of living in Iceland, well F1 is but a small hickup mate. By the way I loved the country, just the cost of food was horendous.

Who knows WHO will go where and in what team and well for me I dont really care, as after watching F1 for maybe a lot more years then I want to disclose, the last few , and I predict the next few years, will be about as exciting as watching a HOUN PINE tree grow, and well they live for 1000 plus years !!!!

maybe the engine rules suck a bit but thts the rules and all the teams including ferrari are bound by it and well it's a team race so it doesn matter if it was mclaren's fault or the engine supplier's fault... the bottom line is the team messed up..... i love mc laren too and hate the fact that kimi is startin from the back but i dun think it' an unfair thing...

anyway i'll still be supporting mc laren whether they are on top or if they are at the bottom and no matter which driver drives for them :P ....

The new engine rule is rather harsh but will provide for an interesting race – and that’s the most important thing.

Too bad for Kimi , waaaaaaaaaaa , others had many engine failures during the season ...like 9 or 10 so he better get used to the Idea! :x

Top teams can easily get back into the points from even back there because all the Mid-field players have less powerful motors ,so no real big deal and McLaren should just turn down the power level a tad so at least Kimi can finish the race with a couple of points .

Abide their time to get going on developments by mid-season, they could still battle BAR..FFF and Renault .

Three races are not the season....but 6 are.

I really should point out that stating that Kimi is penalized 10 grid positions because his Teams Engine went is not a good way to reflect on it.

It should be referred that his TEAM's car is penalized the 10 grid positions because of the needed engine change. Its not fair to Kimi's abilities as a driver which are decent for his years in F1.

I find that Wave of Fan support can overcome drivers to the point where the backlash can reflect negatively apon any driver when they are deemed to be "Out of the Spotlight" especially when the engine fails them more than usual.

D.C. though is just moping up the points !?!?

Come-on McLaren! stay in the race.....

i feel sorry for JPM he is going from a very good FW26 to a team that 2004 car is up the s##t. the FW27 is probly going to be fight up there with Ferrari next year and JPM will be stuck in a Midfeld Merc

they are definitely up the sh*t, but i think its way premature to be calling the mclaren a midfield-merc next year. it will be a completely new car and engine, and although it doesn't look like they've learnt too much from last year, mclaren & merc are not a combo to be dismissed lightly. they are a very proud team and have the resources of one of the biggest car manufacturers on the planet and most experienced group of engineers to go with it.

look at honda the last 2 years and now see how much they've improved. they were producing time bombs and now they're one of teh most powerful powerplants out there. with a good old kick up the arse form the team after a bout of complacency and they'll be back. the domestic rivalry with bmw must be intense and they won't be enjoying this any more than the fans are..

Mclaren are as bad as jaguar at the moment...the only difference is that coulthard had 2 races where he finished. If webber had finished the other races i dare say jaguar would be ahead of mclaren...looks like they are about to go backwards.

the new R5 is WAY better than the R4. i was looking at the points table and Jag have a real chance of getting 5 place this year (thats if Mclaren stay that way that are)

mclaren are better than jaguar only their reliability has to improve.... apart from tht in terms of driver lineup i think both jag and mclaren are equal... kimi is undoubtedly 1 of the best in the field and if webber had a mclaren i dun think he would be doin any better than kimi and DC certainly has an edge ovr klien but not webber.....

Now that was an engine blow up even Honda would be proud of!! That was one of the biggest I've ever seen. Imagine the look on JPM's face when he saw that on tv after the race!! What has he gotten himself into??!! The new Jag is definitely better than last years one, but for me the BAR is the main challenger to Ferrari, oh how JV should have taken that sabbatical last year!!! Ah well, sh!t happens I guess.

I can not say what has improved yet on BAR..FF ,but they do have the Michelins and have jumped up more so than Renault,.. and Mclaren has not stepped up at all I think.

Jaguar has improved also though just a little rough with Webber's reliability.

Sauber/Toyota/McLaren have all backed up compared to BAR..so in the 1st three races BAR has held together for the most part and sling-shotted up to challenge for podiums (with a few retirements/rear starts of others)

I hold no hope of the others except Williams and Renault to challenge BAR as best of the rest. Jaguar will not be able to do it ,but McLaren has a half chance to get back in the scrap by the 5th race albeit a bit behind(alot)

guys, i'm as big a bar fan as they come and i love the talk of bar being the leading challenger to ferrari, but let's not kid orselves, williams are still clearly number 2! it's only ralf's poor decisions/attitude on the race track that are making them appear less than 2nd best..
