HandyNZL 1 Report post Posted June 22, 2013 I can't help but think that McLaren have thrown this year out the window from the get go, and have been putting all the eggs in next years car which will be a totally new machine from the wheel hubs up. If RBR / Ferrari etc are busy in the 2013 development race, and not putting too much effort into 2014 until towards the end of the season, then McLaren might get quite a jump on the others. But it's a doubtful "might". Look at how Merc keeps saying since 2010 that they are concentrating on the next year's car every middle of season. Took them 4 years to get where they are now. Still, McLaren are in a better place than Merc to make that happen, based on their record.
HandyNZL 1 Report post Posted June 22, 2013 Macca have far better systems in place than Merc. Just because it has Merc on the side of the car, doesn't change the fact it's still BAR. Merc make road cars and engines.
Angellica 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2013 I hope someone trumps him, even if its to the title,he needs it his attitude sucks as his head is so big, sometimes I even wonder how he gets his helmet on. Lol You have to have self belief to do well in any sport. Ask any sportsman and mental attitude is a huge part of it, Button was dominating in 2008 then he had some self doubts for whatever reason and almost threw away the title. My dad used to play bowls (crown green, not ten pin) he always said if you didn't believe in your own ability and focus on that you never do well. He was only playing for fun, so increase that a million fold and you understand why Vettel is the way he is. All champions are like that when they keep winning, it's how they manage it in the first place I reckon.
