In 2002 there was no genuine threat to Michael Schumacher. This year is already much closer than 2002 was (in terms of relative performance and the competitiveness of the midfield teams) and BAR, with Jenson Button, is emerging as a threat to Ferrari hegemony. BAR have done a lot of testing at Barcelona and have posted very quick times – I expect them to challenge Ferrari there. Williams should also not be discounted yet; they still have much development work to do but should close the gap to Ferrari as the season progresses.

I don’t quite understand what you mean but if you were suggesting that Barrichello was a threat to Michael Schumacher in 2002 you would be very much mistaken. I have no idea about what you’re talking about after that…

Like where ??? Button got pole position OK, but am I correct in recalling that M.S. set a lap record EQUAL to or BETTER then QUALIFYING times during the race ??

I haven't replayed the race but I am sure that was stated , if so WHO is SANDBAGGING here. My guess it's Ferrari, they are TRYING to keep the crowds interested in what is and will be a " ONE PRANCING HORSE RACE" as I see it

I was with you about the 2002 quote jordan rule!! My opinion hasn't changed. The only difference from this year and 2002 will be M$ winning more races than 2002!!!

i think this yr is different from 2002..... in 2002 ferrari were planning 1-2 photo finishes in so many races..... this year they cant do that... but then again imho i think this year is a bit worse than in 2002... remember back then at this stage at least williams had 1 race win to ferrari's 3.... Now after MS 4 wins from 4 races i wonder who dares bet against him winning the next 4 races....
