David Coulthard criticises Spa:

David Coulthard is unhappy with changes made to the Spa-Francorchamps track before next week's Belgian Grand Prix.

The circuit's famous Bus Stop chicane has been altered and Coulthard fears it will make overtaking even harder.

The McLaren star says changes should not be made without consultation with the drivers.

"Quite how we find ourselves in a situation where a track is changed without input from a current driver is very strange," said the Scot.

Well I am certainly sad to hear that Spa has undergone alterations .At least it is not a huge one, like what we witnessed at Hockeinheim( I hate the new Hockeinheim), it took away all the beauty the old circuit had. Thank goodness, the officials had the sense not to alter Spa completely. Wonder why they altered the bus stop chicane though( I had grown used to seeing drivers trash their cars over it)

yeah he does make a good point, i love the bus stop section. its one area you can overtake, and drivers have made mistakes there more then once, its a shame they've changed it....it better be good!

ive seen the modifications a while ago on pitpass.com. They really really screwed it up. For once, Im with DC on this one. As for Eau Rouge, since they changed it anyone can take it flat. I remember when JV tried...but failed in '98 and '99 and had two of the biggest shunts Ive ever seen. I'm gonna miss JV gunning it through Eau Rouge Ah well, maybe next year :wink:
