The FIA may think twice before asking Matt Bishop to facilitate one of their press conferences after Renault boss Flavio Briatore lashed out at the F1 Racing Magazine editor.

Briatore attended Thursday press conference for the Chinese GP weekend, which was focused mainly on the issues facing F1 as both Eddie Jordan and Jaguar's Tony Purnell were also present. Briatore, though, quickly grew tired of what he termed as Bishop's "disgusting" line of questioning.

"I think this press conference makes no sense. Here we are in China for the first race and you start talking about the problem for Jordan. If Jordan has a problem and if Tony has a problem, I'm sure this is not the place to resolve the problem," Briatore fumed.

"Instead of being enthusiastic to come to this place, where the people have made a lot of effort to prepare for an incredible race, you guys try to turn things around as usual for no reason. Really."

"I'm not prepared to answer any questions because I don't like a press conference like this, only talking about the problems for Formula One. Everybody has problems, not only in these areas. We need to resolve our problems. If somebody makes a $300m or $400m investment in Formula One, I think this is very positive for Formula One, but you guys only like to look at the bad things."

"There's a lot of jealousy and you guys are part of that jealousy. I think this press conference is completely disgusting."

while the jordan/jag/minardi issue it is one of the issues of the moment, i understand everything he said prior to the above, as he doesn't like it when people aren't talking about him, his drivers and his girlfriends, but the jealousy part??? :shock:

Maybe, especially if Matt goes to interview. But really I can't find fault with Matt,his job is to focus on the issues happening prior to the weekend. those questions were bound to arise, especially from a journalist.
