I have to say that many people remember Senna as if he is the greatest, but he died because of his own driving Nothing else. He was lucky to win races and the championship, but he drove too fast, he did not understand a race car had limits, he just thought he was the best and the car would go as fast as he wanted to.

How wrong he was Senna crashed and died because of his own driving ability. You cannot say if Senna was alive he would have won more. You can say "if" about anything, like "If" Coulthard had not caused Micheal Schumacher's retirement at Spa in 98 by not moving over to let him pass when he was being lapped in the wet, then that year MS would have easily won the championship. or in 99 "If" Eddie Irvine had not caused MS to crash at Silverstone and breaking his leg. Then again that year MS would have easily won the championship.

MS is a brilliant driver who has had many things against him, but he has won time after time and beaten his opponents fairly.

Also even David Coulthard has said that Senna was a man who would knock anyone off the track so he could win, Senna would cheat to win any race

Of course he didn't drive into the wall on purpose, but the telemetry showed that it wasn't car failure but that when he bottomed out on the bump he lost control as he was making throle and stearing inputs up to impact it's been published in a book that I can't recall the name of off-hand but I've read the chapters dealing with the accident and that's what it was plain and simple unfourtunitly, that and then current design of F1 cars

I don't think he'll have a 7 timer on this....there isn't enough time left in his career to cause soo much trouble. He's a good driver ; I think he's quite satisfied with his achievements and will tone down his agression a little.

re. Senna's death. Too many theories, not enough hard evidence, let's let it rest now!!

As for M$ being fair, that has to be the biggest joke Ive heard all year. Senna took Prost off cos Prost had him off. M$ had DH and JV off, fair?!?! What has Michael had against him?? He's had top cars, mediocre teammates, team orders, the FIA in his and Ferrari's back pocket...ok he had a broken leg which was bad luck and hopefully he goes through the rest of his career uninjured, but he's had a relatively easy ride in the sport.

Besides, Michael wrecked Damon in 1994, not 1995. MS's car kicked booty in 1995.

When you are in control of a car, if nothing breaks to cause an accident i is then the drivers fault plain and simple.

A racing driver who is supposed to be that good knows each circuit and knows where every bump and dip is on the circuit.

So if you are changing settings in the car when it bottoms out that is a Driver Error, the simple fact is Senna was driving beyond his skills at that moment

Micheal Schumacher has not always had the best cars and he has had good team mates, and team orders aren't there as much as people think.

Rubens is a good driver and it is public knowledge NO team orders! MS has beaten him constantly and not just beaten him absolutely thrashed him. There has been a couple of times when Rubens has won but rare.

Eddie Irvine was an excellent drive remember how he came so close to winning the Championship in 99. For half the season he was as you say following team orders, but after MS's crash he beat everyone until MS came back and won easily his first race after injury. Eddie Irvine has said about MS "Being his team mate is tough like being hit with a sledge hammer. You go and do a perfect lap the best lap even, then MS goes out and shatters your time, everytime"

Many times MS has won races from the back of the grid so over and over again he has proved he is the best ever. You are not able to break as many records as he has done if your not the best.

Idiots and people who don't really know about F1 are the people who critisie him. I would not say it was jealousy, maybe they just don't like the best people in whatever sport

Y'know, the accident wasn't his fault. The car bottomed out due to reduced tire pressures and it caused the steering column to snap. Don't believe me?

picf6_3.jpg

The left front wheel appears to be blacker and more rounder, appearing that it is turning left while the other three wheels are pointing straight...Any eplanation other than that?

As for me, Senna was a damn good driver, maybe not the best, but one of the greatest.

Don't anyone get me wrong Senna was a good driver. What annoys me is people trying to say "If" all the time.

In anything "If" does not count what counts is what happened and what you have done.

When you are losing tyre preasure in an F1 car you do know about it and you ease off so you safely get to the pits and change the tyres. Senna made a bad mistake he did not ease.

How can anyone say he was the best now knowing his mistake.

His mistake, His fault

No tire deflated in the cause of the accident, the telemetry shows it. The time any tire lost any pressure was when impact was made upon the wall.
