Ferrari 2005

Recommended Posts

B) Ferrari is already testing a version of the '05 car. A couple of weeks ago at the Jerez test Ms drove an '04 car with reduced areo and Bridgestone test tyres('05 speck) and a version of the '04 motor detuned to 2 race weekend power specs. The word is that Ferrari will run an intrim car based on the '04 but with '05 wings etc and the detuned motor. I wonder how many teams will do the same :unsure:

a luxury of wraping up the WDC and WCC so early. This will help keep them up the front, unfortunatley for the non ferrari supporters.

I hope not all teams run 04 spec cars de tuned, that'd be boring compared to most of them building new ones :D

M$ said that the car felt very very strange. but that is to be expected when your running a hell of a lot less downforce. in Novembers F1 Racing Mag i sore a pic or the ferrari at the test and let me tell you it looks like somthing out or CART and not F1 but by the time next seasion starts it will look a lot different.

I know alot of people said the same thing about this season only to be disappointed, but I really think next years championship could be great, Michael will most probably win, but I feel the level of competition will be alot better as a result of the rules shakeup, but then again, I may be wrong ;)

yea i agree with nojvnof1 next seasion should be a great one. But the new rules are ment to make the cars 3sec slower that this years lap times and right now Ferrari are only 2.5sec and thats not with the fully done verson.

cheers AR5, but as I stated in another thread, all credit to escapedeville for making them, and Sato for hosting them and telling me how to put them up!!

On a more serious note, yes Ferrari have got a decent headstart though one could say all the teams have to modify their car quite a bit before they reach the FIA standards.

there are pics of the Jordan with 2005 spec aero on itv-f1.com and it looks pretty different. The rear wing is really low and move forward whilst the front wing is raised very high. To see the pics, go the the news section, and click on the story about Doornbos testing 2005 Jordan car, or something like that.

looks like it tried to get into a tunnel which was too low and knocked the rear wing down
