Fia Turn Down Chicane Request

Recommended Posts

I prefered the old trye changing pit stops also.

Do you really think that every michelin runner is going to ease off in turns 12 and 13? Noway, in the heat of the battle you don't give an inch.

If the Michelin runners lower the downforce generated by theiir wings they can prevent these tire failures from happening. It then just comes down to the driver taking the corner as fast as he can safely do so.

I thought that is what drivers got paid to do.

I repeat. SET UP THE CAR SO THESE FAILURES DO NOT HAPPEN!!!!!! and then let the driver drive around the course as fast as he can.

Its because i grew up with this always being the way it happened.

Edit: this was aimmed at Bajo's comments.

Yes and in the interest of safety, the Michelin runners should change tyres to safer ones if they are available in time and start from the back of the grid as a result, or run the same tyres but at reduced speeds. This is fair and safe.

Damn right. Why are all these teams complaining, change the tires if you want safety and go to the back of the grid. Simple as that.

I can visualise the red cars on the podium.

Well there it is, you have diagnosed your own condition. Very good!

F1 is very exciting at the moment but it is not sustainable. Already you casn see the division between the strong and the weak is too wide. This will continue to expand not contract if changes ar enot brought about. It is not hard to imagine Williams being a have-not team in several years and that point you have to say things are totally out of control. Of course, better to head off this pending disaster with changes now.

Does no one feel anger and hatred towards F1??

It's great racing and stuff, but STUPID regulations are preventing us from being entertained

Sports is for entertainment, not disappointment

If they cannot find a solution to this kind of situation in the future

I am prepared to stop supporting F1

Nop, not at all

It's great racing and stuff, but STUPID regulations are preventing us from being entertained

Fine, but it makes you no better than the people throwing bottles and bear cans on the track, if you turn your back now, in a few years you will come back and the you will never be true fan again.

why should i be a fan of something that doesn't even care about my feelings?

my opinions?

it's a one-sided relationship

you are a true fan, so what??

in the end what do you gain from this, from being a true fan?

almost nothing, you are instead repaid by watching 6 cars going round and round the circuit

people have a right to express their anger

they paid hundreds, are you saying that as a true fan, they will stick around

and continue wasting money on races like this?

If you have just found out that F1 does not listen to the fans you are either five years old or you are stupid, no offence. F1 has never listened to reason since money became the big talker in F1

Some people deffinatley are taking it to heart. Sure it was bad, but it was a 1 off, and im sue that steps will be taken to stop it happening again. I feel sorry for those attending the USGP, and even the 14 drivers who had to have an easrly shower, and even those getting up early to watch the GP to be dissapointed with it. But it will be ok F1 will be fine with or without a USGP, and the true F1 will make its return in 2 weeks, and after a few races you'll of just about forgotten about it.

I dont think it will be alrite if the USGP leaves because us F1 fans that are left here in the US will have to travel to Canada if it leaves. not a good thing

Canada is a good thing and you should travel to this wonderful country anyway. Most Americans coud do with more international travel, even if it is as similar to the US as is Canada. Anyway, I understand your point. You guys deserve at least one GP.
