Speed just like Nico will have to prove himself, and you are slagging off the American fan as if we don't count.............

Pumpdoc, you have to admit, that Speed has been fairly spoon fed all the way through the lower ranks in a concerted and deliberate effort to get an American driver into F1. It is all an entirely transparent marketing effort by Bernie, FOM, and RedBull in an attempt to increase interest in the US in the sport. To that extent I am very pleased to see that it appears to be working, whatever it takes to increase F1 exporsure in North America I say, but Speed's matriculation to F1 should not be interpreted as an indication that he is anything other than the best young American driver who is interested in running in F1.

At the risk of angering my American friends, I should aslo point out that there are striking similarities between Speed's and NK's entries into F1. Although many criticize NK for paying bag loads of money for his F1 seat (some allege it was $30Million+), at least his sponsors didn't have to buy an entire TEAM for him to get a ride.

you'd be surprised where you'd find such JV fans. From my experience, I know of fans here in Australia, Brazil, Canada, United States, England, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Croatia and quite a few other countries. Jacques is close to being a multinational brand
