I'm not but I'm watching live and somehow I'm wide awake.

Also trying to watch the live timing from formula1.com but it doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment. Anyone else having this problem?

EDIT: it just kicked in and seems to be working now. Just took a few laps to work...

Yeah I agree.. not often you'll hear me not liking Villeneuve much but on this occasion it warrants it. Not sure whether it was down to cold tyres, but I wouldda thought JV could deal with that so I think it unlikely.

Didn't Alonso blow by Jacques soon after the start or restart? I don't recall seeing JV hold Alonso up as he wasn't lapped, and if they were fighting for position I'd expect JV to fight hard for it.

As for the incident with Montoya, JV's has heavy fuel load, mixed with low grip due to dirty tyres from overshooting final chicane and the car understeered big time. JPM saw JV go onto the grass so he'd have surely known JV was going to run wide, what JPM was doing around the outside of that corner I do not know. As for the cold tyres, about 4 other cars ran over the chicane too, so it wasn't only JV. I'm not going to turn this into a JPM bashing session or anything like that, but in saying that I'm not going to say it was JV's fault when I believe it wasn't, pity the FIA stewards punished JV, but that's life, we move on, Shanghai this week so this will go down quick.

Thats pretty hypocritical. JV should of known he'd run wide, and slowed down accordingly.

Not really. Whilst JV would have known he'd run wide, he had no idea how badly he would run wide. JPM was most definitely not side by side and his front tyre was just past JV's rear tyre, so the only way JV would have seen JPM would have been if he looked behind him. JV was turning into a right hand corner and you only look right when doing so. The place where JPM tried to pass JV isn't a passing place, mostly around the outside. Besides, watch Kimi behind JV, he's taking the same line as JV.

I disagree that JV should have braked. What for, just to allow JPM past?? This is F1, not Formula oh you got screwed by the weather in quali and have the quicker car oh please do go through sir, well not unless you drive for Ferrari and you are teammate to Michael Schumacher JV did what he had to do to keep on track and did not see JPM. Jacques isn't a dirty driver and hasn't taken anyone out (deliberately and with intent) before, so why would he start now?!

The more I see it, the more I think the stewards got it wrong. But that's how it goes and we go to Shanghai.

Never!!! I'll admit though, after seeing those pics KoolMonkey posted in another thread, I'm more inclined to ease off my comments, although it wasn't totally JV's fault as some say.

It'd be similar to a road incident really, if JPM switches 'lanes' to move pst a slower car, and when he gets along side this car turns into it aswell, knoking him into a wall, im pretty sure the blame would be put onto the car who moved over (given that monty wans't speeding ).

I don't like the blame being out on a driver for trying an overtake, and then the other driver messing up. I really can't stand it.

JPM was in JV's blind spot, so the only way JV would have seen him would have been in he literally turned his head 180 degrees and looked behind him, which is of course impossible.
