He wanted to absorb everything and really understand how his car works, his mechanics recalled that meeting him in the hotel foyer late in the night was the worst thing imaginable because he used to get them to explain everything, over and over again!

Yes. Very lengthy affairs! After every test, Ayrton used to produce at least two sides of A4 listing all the changes he wanted on his car and he was very demanding of all concerned.
