This is too much, honestly. Rchards said he is going to give a champions car to Button, he feels they can win the championships 2004. But the engines are blowing like popcorn.

it appears as tho engine reliability will be the missing piece of the puzzle this year. last year it was the tyres (and a certain former WDC?) and they've rectified that. i hope honda can get the engines sorted by melbourne. (or europe at least). i think they'll be my favourite team this year.

The Honda is a good engine, but is being held back a bit. Engines are blowing up at all teams, though, so you shouldn't look too much into it.

Looks like some things will never change. DR thought getting rid of JV was the answer to his problem, but it may just be those who convinced him to get rid of JV for more $$$ and another driver.

Honda was champion before with Williams1986,

'and with Mclaren 1988-1989-1990-1991

At the recent BAR launch, DR stated that they have done more than twice as much pre season testing that ever before. He also mentioned that this is starting to have a positive affect on the reliability. If he is right the light may just be appearing at the end of the tunnel, still a long way to go though, certainly not a 04 DWC/CWC.

Where do I start? The engine reliability can’t be cured over night and judging by recent trends I am led to believe that the latest Honda power plant will be just like those before it – pathetically unreliable and fairly weak. Secondly, the tyres. Do you think Bridgestone are just going to give up? I’m not saying that they’ll be better than Michelin next year but their wets certainly were in 2003 and BAR have spent millions nullifying their contract with Bridgestone at the very time when Bridgestone have to work hard as they are being depicted as a second rate tyre manufacturer. Thirdly, do you honestly believe that Takuma `I crash a lot of cars` Sato is better than the 1997 World Champion? JV may be a little arrogant but he has reason to be and is fast and doesn’t make silly mistakes. Finally, your comments on Team loyalty, “i think they'll be my favourite team this year”, make you sound like a glory supporter or at the very least someone who doesn’t seem to have any loyalties.

no i don't think he'll let him go, cos he pursued him with such vigour. you get the feeling he thinks jb is the cornerstone of the team, like jv was with pollock.

but if he did, and depending on ralf staying at williams, i'd have to say either dc or webber. a solid workhorse brit or aussie.

According to Button (defending the team, because of all the accusations that the team has been testing with low fuel) - The new Bar is very similar to the Williams Fw26. Even he didnt expect such progress in his team. Otherwise it is also possible that the other teams did not improve that much, because Bar is what you see on the tests and not a fake.

Can the other teams not have improved, therefore Bar looks so good?

I think you all need to realise that we are all in the dark until the first few races are run to see what is up with what team. Remember that Pizzonia and Jaguar held a track record last year and look how strong he was for Jag.

BAR are bragging big time and I think (like other years) they are full of themselves. Button needs to "button it" and let his race results speak for themselves, a bit like what webber does tlaks the car down and then rings its neck to get a result.
