Yes you have to take your hat off to Button +B.A.R they have done a good job.

As for Webber seems to be the same old story.

Also read somewhere that the stats say Green is the most unlucky colour for a racing car!!

An amazing drive from Button, makes it even better that the podium wasn't down to luck! Anyone who had doubts about Buttons overtaking ability or defending his position, well I hope this has smashed them for you!

He truly deserved it!

I and many others have waited 68 long and hard GP's for this day, I am just glad that it is finally upon us!

I know Martin Brundle said on ITV that some people doubted Jenson’s overtaking ability but I never did, nor can I think of any obvious critics. There are drivers who have a reputation of not being the best at overtaking manoeuvres– Ralf and Michael spring to mind – and Jenson is not one of them.

Button kept a cool head, made some great moves, helped by some slick pitwork and drove an excellent race. He fully deserved his podium and I think more will come this year. Ah well, JV taught him well I suppose. I found it funny how when he was on the podium he looked as if he didnt know what to do!!

In all seriousness, good drive.

and correct me if I am wrong, but I don think any cars ahead of Jenson retired gifting him his podium.

Well, Webber got bogged down at the start and then retired which gifted Jenson a place at the start but I’m not sure that the Jaguar would have been able to match the BAR in the race. Further more, Raikkonen might have challenged him had he not retired, but on the whole it was a good performance.

webber and button are shaping up as pretty big rivals aren't they. i remember that in an interview with mick doohan last year prior to the last couple rounds button said his main aim was to "beat webber". and he said this with a huge grin on his face!

i think a classic anglo-aussie rivalry could develop when webber steps up to a big team. should be fun to watch :D

In terms of championship position there isn’t any, and probably will not be any rivalry. Mark may well be quicker than Jenson but his car certainly isn’t and that’s why Jenson has scored in every race so far, finished on the podium and earned 9 or so points. Mark in contrast, hasn’t even finished a race, so you can’t really say a rivalry exists between them. However, there are many parallels between the two – they are both trouncing their teammates, they are both tipped as potential Williams drivers and future World Champions etc.
