Jacques Villeneuve said of him that he was an idiot. From what I have seen from him over the years, I think he is a nuisance to other drivers (eventhough he is right in the present case against baby boy Vettel), always at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The driver is more important than the car.

As I've said on here already, and I'll say again, Karthikeyan is far more qualified than his potential replacement Ma Qing Hua on the basis he has actually enjoyed success in other forms of single seaters. So whilst he isn't great, I think he is marginally better than some people give him credit for.

But on the basis it sounds like HRT won't be in F1 next year, I suppose we don't really have to worry.

It's all relative to who would replace him.

Yeah, whether he stays is a relative question. Whether he should go, which is what JV seems to hint? That's more of an absolute question and I think the answer is clearly "no". Although he is sometimes a "nuisance" I certainly don't think he is dangerous, and after that, not awfully incompetent at driving an F1 car either. Slow, yes, but not someone who generally causes a lot of problems.

I think he should stay, if only for the fact that he seems to be the only person who can stop Vettel :)
