Really a nice start! It was a pity his engine failure. Sato is improving race by race. I used to banish Sato and maybe at the end i will have to admit that he is a good driver... I wouldn

The Sato start ..big deal ...yet another Hondaaaaaaaaa blow-up.

Yet another "2nd" BAR driver blow-up.

Button is due.

yeah it ws a great start. button seems to get all the good honda engines. must be a conspiracy form the blokes at brackley switching the sato=spec engines into button's car, trying to make the poor little japanese look bad.. :P:lol:

but yeah, sato does look good these days, and he's really risen in a lot of people's opinions in the lsat 2 races. if it wasn't for a small mistake in qualifying he could've been on the first or second row and he would've been fighting withtrulli for the lead at turn 1.

looking forward to next week where he can build some consistency. 8)

Now, you just know what I'm gonna say......

Takuma Sato (possibly the GREATEST Grand Prix Driver of the Modern era) IS F1's GREATEST ENTERTAINER!!

That was THE start of the last 2 seasons! He managed to make M$ look very average indeed. (Loved the wheel banging pass..!)

....and the "Captain of the Space Shuttle" finish to his run when the engine detonated... well, it just doesn't get any better than that! Very, VERY Entertaining!

BANZAI, SATO!

it was a great start by sato but DC did seam to think that Sato did jump start and that BAR should of stoped sato befour his engine Blow. but alin all im happy because its good to see sato do good and also his enginge blow made Fisi role :lol:

One of the best starts, EVER!! BANZAI!!!!! Loved the way he shoved M$ out the way, he even gave him a little nudge. Reminded me of JV's starts in 2000, but this was better than most of them just for that move on M$, pity about the engine though.. when will BAR realise Jacques doesn't drive for them anymore. Once was funny, but come on the joke is wearing off now Richards, you can let the kid race now

Yes a great start indeed and I agree that's the best start I've seen in recent memory. Did y'all notice how he squeezed past Michael and Kimi, with literally milimeters to spare; that's car control. Just can't believe this guys bad luck though.

Don't know where this jump start theory is coming from though? I watched the replay over and over and before those lights go out, he never moved an inch. Did anyone else see otherwise?

i two have watch replays several times from different angles and everytime he is still until those lights are out.

Okay, after I read Coulthard accuse Sato of jumping the start, i though well Coulthard complains all the time (ala third drivers). Then I read another quote from Barrichello who claimed he didn't even move and Sato blew past him (he was lying cause he was moving, just very slowly) Why accuse him if its not true? To save face because Sato literally made both of them including Michael, and Kimi and almost Jenson look like they were standing still, by a guy many have little respect for.

Here is your proof.

it's hard to tell, even from the clip provided by jet. none of them show a clear shot of sato at the start, except for the very first angle, and he looks ok.

if the sensors didn't catch him out then i'm happy! :D

Has any one thought of the connection between JV's engine blows and Sato's engine blows, The race engineer is the same. ???????????????????? Just a thought.

It was more then obvious that Sato's Bar was going to blow the engine (there was a lot of smoke even after the start) but of course Bar's Managers were too eager to win therefore did not tell the driver to stop.

Anyways the accident happened and just as well that it wasnt in the tunel, because it would have been terrible.

Bar should be penalized for this action.
