Honda's Reliability Thus Far

Recommended Posts

One of my favorite crashes involved button. This was his first season. They were behind a safety car and Mika Hakkinen was 1st place. Mika then suddenly braked to warm up the tyres and the next few cars braked except for button who swerved to avoid hiting the car infront and hit the side wall instead. I know it was his first season but that was still funny.

I'm pretty sure MS was leading, doing his usual weird accelerate-then-brake move (which also caused him to crash monaco 2004, what an idiot). I can see why it would be funny. obviously at the time I didn't find it funny at all!

It was at Monza and MS was leading. They were on the backstretch before the parabolica.

I wonder if nojvnof1 & shadow will agree that Button's Germany 04 drive was better than JV's germany 98 drive??

i am afraid i can't judge that jemstride our telecast in this season was cut off due to some unwanted complication and I only watched whatever clippings the news could offer me.so I stay neutral on this one.

What do you mean weird, it is common place and was then too, Jenson made a rookie mistake. And since then has done the same thing (just not whilst leading, as he hasn't done to much of that).

The first time I ever remember seeing that move was at the 1993 Indianapolis 500, Emerson Fittapaldi (72 + 74 WDC) was leading in the Penske, Arie Luyendyk (1990 Winner) was behind with Nigel Mansell (Yes, THE Nigel Mansell) was in third. He accelerated a small bit, then braked a medium amount. He saw the nose of Arie's car dip, meaning he was braking, then he took off and won.
