I am certainly with you again on this point; I will never stop supporting Jacques even when he is not in F1 anymore.

Well, the main question is: Do you expect jenson to bag a win next year? That is with either team... I don't, although I expect atleast, a couple of podiums.

JS.

Spot on. This Guy has a very good chance of retiring without a single victory. Not Bashing Button here, but the odds are against him.

I very much doubt it. BAR Honda worship him, Ferrari is reputedly interested and Williams have been fighting over his services for quite some time. Whether you like to admit it or not, he is a talented young driver with excellent prospects for the future.

Um, ok. You may not be familiar with Football, but some fans of said sport continue to support their favourite player(s) when they retire, such legends as Maradona and Best, people still support them today believe it or not. Now transfer this to F1; I will continue to support Jacques whether he is racing or not, much in the same way as you do Damon.

I think it would be money well spent too for BMW and it would enable Jacques to keep driving and wind down gently. It would also let younger talent through, which would be a good thing now imo.

Would Jacques really want to be a test driver at BMW CC? Every driver reaches a point in his career when his performance wanes and it time to hang up his helmet...

I don't think accepting such a role will diminish his credibility. He will be helping the team with his vast experience, whilst also being a sort of mentor to any young driver the team brings in. Panis is doing a good job as tester at Toyota, and it hasn't done his dignity any bad. If JV is happy to oblige to such a role, he should be able to do so. Having said that I'd much prefer he raced, and so does he, but what we want and what we get in life are two different things mostly.

I don't see him winning at BAR or Williams, but I expect him to grab a podium or two like yourself.
