By looking at his sportmanship at the moment, he is not eligible to be the successor to MS yet. Unless he could put some out the race more often, he would qualify for that.

Well, I have to agree, Alonso is a lot less ruthless in Formula 1, or maybe it will soon come out as he is just keeping his head down atm.

congratulations jemstride! As for Alonso and Kimi, I look forward to seeing these two battle against each other for the title over many years to come. They've both driven well against each other although Kimi is undeserving to be so far back. Having said that, Mercedes have let him down very badly, and whilst Alonso was lucky to inherit those wins, he put himself in the position to be able to do so should anything happen to Kimi. I think Alonso is a deserving champion.
