even 1-time WDC - for me is like a "just a champion"

but 2-times WDC - is "real one" as he defends his title.

Suffice to say that I disagree with most of that. If we consider the season as a whole, Damon beat JV by a good margin.

Damon beat JV by a wide margin in the first half of the season and a small one in the second half as I recall but yes, considering the season as a whole, Damon did beat JV by a significant margin.
