Ralf To Be Own Manager

Recommended Posts

GMM) Ralf Schumacher will not seek a replacement for his fired long-time manager Willi Weber.

It is reported in the German press that the 30-year-old Toyota driver will handle his own business affairs, out of a newly established HQ called 'RSC Office' (Ralf Schumacher Office) near his Austrian home.

It is also claimed that Ralf and Weber were never close. Ralf told 'Bild' newspaper that he 'doesn't need' a manager.

Weber, however, told the German tabloid that 'Schu Jr' is heavily influenced by wife Cora, who is a growing celebrity in Germany. ''I don't know anyone,'' Willi said, ''who Ralf listens to, except her.

''Hopefully it all goes well for him. I will always remain his friend.'' Bild said Cora's own manager, Alain Midzic, may be involved in Schumacher's new business affairs

I know but the staggering thing is that he is replacing a professional, a renowned expert in the field, who managed to secure him a drive in a top team with an outrageously high salary on the modest strength of his 2004 campaign. It's outrageous!

Indeed. I think Willi Weber is the best manager in F1.

It seems that way, yes. Although perhaps Takuma Sato's manager deserves some consideration. Takuma has, after all, been in the sport since 2002 without any talent to his name.

Gerhard didn't do too badly representing himself, so it can be done successfully. Maybe Ralfie just doesn't want to pay a percentage.

Ralf is distinctly unpopular and I don't think he has much to look forward to after his current contract expires.

I'm surprised you're into F1 with it being the most capitalist sport in the world and all... You are a woman, yes?

I am a lady yes but then again I can watch F1 with all those capitalist labels and knowing that F1 was the last major sport to pull out of South Africa due to the sickening thing called Apartheid. Yes I do watch it because I live in the world.

I also do understand that F1 will be going into newer horizons were the products it pushes will be gobbled up by the most uninformed.e.g. Tobacco. I find it funny also that the EU and the American subcontinent is so anti-tobacco when Alcohol kills more people than Tobacco.

Mind you I don't smoke.

I thought so... and as a lady you can live a life full of contrdiction without being bothered by the illogic of it all. You can, for example, enjoy the most capitalist sport in the world yet seemingly* be opposed to capitalism and you can be an environmentalist while supporting autosport. I love it!

I meant purpotedly for you are not seemingly opposed to capitalism at all you are quite obviously a major beneficiary of it! Of course, you probably think the whole world has computers and internet access, etc
