Stoddart regrets quitting F1

Paul Stoddart says he 'enormously' regrets quitting Formula One.

The 51-year-old entrepreneur sold Minardi to Red Bull last year, setting up full time in Australia with his new OzJet airline.

But, with $10m in losses and often just one or two passengers for his three chequered-flag liveried Boeing 737 jets, Stoddart announced on Monday that he had decided to shut it down.

“Absolutely,'' he told the ABC's Lateline programme in Sydney. “I wish I had not started an airline and I wish I had stayed in Formula One. Absolutely.”

You have to admit that the bloke has balls. Taking on the biggest of big boys head first anywhere he can find them deserves some sort of recognition. Maybe a sticker that reads "I tried my hardest" would do??

Bleh thats capitalism, you can't be part of the system all your life and then criticize it when it doesn't work for you. There are airlines that have taken on the big boys and beaten them at their own game, I have seen plenty of examples in my own country. He is just one big fat whiner.
