nothing wrong with being optimistic i suppose. Only miserable people are pessimistic! F1 is hard to predict but I certainly hope Newey does do wonders at RBR, I want to see DC doing well just as much as anyone!

Well if you measure a supporter by naming facts then i guess those geniusses that memories statistics are huge fans. I can name all of Button's wins so does that make me a fan of his :P

:mf_tongue: just cos u cant name any of dc's wins!

which win did i miss then, someone tell me

You missed the British GP in 2000. I might also add that if it wasnt for team orders DC would have 2 more wins than he does now.

yea i guess u mean jerez 97 and melbourne 98.

I remember being absolutely mad at monaco 01 coulthard was on pole then the bloody car stalled, he would have blatantly won that race he was on fire that year (in the metaphorical sense)

Yes, he did have a very good year in 2001. 3 wins and many more good results. It is a shame that the 2001 McLaren wasnt as fast as the Ferrari though.

It's a pity for DC and his fans that he was on peak form when the car wasn't.

Agreed.

JV was the opposite. When he was in peak for he had the car underneath him to back him up.

DC wasn't in peak form in 96, wasn't in peak form in 98, 99, 2000 and wasn't in peak form in 2003? Barring Schumacher and Barrichello, he is the driver on the grid to have had most chances to win a championship. No excuse will do, he is not worthy.

You are possibly the most bias person on this entire forum. The only time in his career he had the best car was 1998.

1996 - car was way off the pace

1999 - car was slower than Ferrari and far less reliable

2000 - car was slower than Ferrari

2001 - car was slower than Ferrari and unreliable

2002 - car was alot slower than Ferrari

2003 - he didnt like the 1 lap qualifying

:lol::lol::lol::lol::clap3:

Its a valid reason. Look at his qualifying and his race results that year. He was fine during the race but his qualifying performance cost him. The ITV commentators said many times that DC likes to have a few warm up laps before he sets his fast time. With the single lap qualying he did not have those warm up laps so as a result his qualifying results suffered.

Have you actually read what I wrote?

It just means he is not worthy. Champions don't have excuses or weak points.

Schumacher has a excuse for every situation. Last year it was all bridgestone's fault and he recently blamed them again for his performance. Also if you believe champions dont have weak points then you are even more diluted than i origanally thought.

The problem with DC's performances is his teammates always showed us what the car could really do in those years. Which means he did not make the most of the cars he had. Schumacher has always been ahead of his teammates irrespective of how good or bad the car was. If your teammate loses the championship by two points, there is no excuse, you just weren't good enough. When something similar happens 5 times..

now, dont pretend as if i am unable to comprehend what you wrote... or did not read at all ,neither can it be assumed thatyou dont understand what i wrote

you fully understand what i meant , RB couldnt have won a championship wearing red colours eventhough he had the best car..that was his "Contractual Obligation"

Contractual Obligation???:wtf: .The reason RB never became WDC being MS 's teammate was MS's superiority as a driver. He couldn't have been WDC with MS in the team.Had it been someone else he could have because RB is one of the best drivers in F1.But the failure to become WDC was not "contractual".
