Title Gone For Alonso, Fiarrari To Win

Recommended Posts

Thats because the monaco incident was a lot different to most normal incidents. Thats a really crap piece of evidence if ur trying to argue that FIA favours ferrari. If they do favour Ferrari they wouldnt have put schu right to the back of the grid

10 hours to make a decision makes a good evidence.....

You dont need to look at telemtry and replays for 10 hours to give a penalty!

2-3 hours would be a normal time....Unless the FIA is so stupid that they needed the experts to explain them what telemetry is and how to push a rewind button to see the replay!

Oops me bad - forgot it was the final session of qualifying, not the earlier sessions when they're running on low fuel!!

Final 3-4 minutes of last session when their fuel tanks were empty....

it does....u see other drivers get penalties in matter of minutes or maybe an hour...but Fiarrari.....o well thats another story....

So you agree with the decision? Would you prefer it if they had taken 5 minutes and come up with a decision that you disagreed with, I mean you want quick service don't you? Or would you prefer it when your favourite driver is accused of something, and his team are not given a chance to defend him since the decision has to be made quickly?

No, never said that...FIA should stop the Q same way they did with SA when 1 of their driver had a puncture.
So if one of the drivers crashes out or has a mechianical failure off track, all the other drivers should be penalised?
You can easily go to F1 site and see from day 1 of 06 season who was on pole...Remember drivers went to change tyres 3-4 mintues to go in last part of Q and the fastest lap was not always the first 1!!!! ;)

And how does that absolve Alonso, and an extra lap i not always possible, most of the time the tyres work best on the first lap, plus an extra lap means an extra lap at higher revs which is not always possible or desirable.

Yep I'm sure you know better than the appointed F1 stewards how long a penalty decision should take :eusa_think: .

Your argument has no evidence whatsoever. The only 'FIA-favours-ferrari' evidence (possibly) is the monza qualifying/blocking incident, and all they did was strip alonso of his 2 fastest laps or something like that, its hardly massive

Well the fuel tanks aren't empty as such as it depends on race stategy - I've not worked it out, but I don't think they will be down to 1 lap of fuel & enough to get back to pits as they would for the earlier sessions.

I still don't understand why the time it takes to give a penalty is so important - what difference can it make if it's still before the next session and what evidence does this constitute ?

I expect a lot more from stewards. And that is, to be equal to all and not to make irrational decisions like MOnza.

Just to refresh you memory...03 season how they f....up JPM at US GP....even the stewards admited they did a mistake!

So they didnt learn nothing.

You're contradicting yourself here - you don't want long drawn out decisions, like Monaco in your example, but you don't want irrational decsisions which suggests they were made quickly & without much thought process.

True....

still 10 hours to make a decision is way to long for stewards to decide.

Like i say 2-3 hours is more than enough for every person with a reasonable mind to make a decision like Monaco or monza...

It doesn't take long for one person to reach a decision, it takes more to reach a concensus.

Finally a good point from you cav ;);)

Thats way it would be better if F1 would not run under FIA as they cant reach a concensus. :D

Personally, I think the FIA and it's rulings are the cause of quite a few of the problems in F1!! :D

Possibly, but I am not sure we're agreeing on the same thing here - my perceived problems with the FIA have nothing to do with Ferrari!! :D
