I beg to disagree! Lily Allen maybe a clever lyricist but its not exactly shakespear is it. A lot of people could write stuff like that, and whats with her trying to be street considering her dad is a famus celeb and shes been brought up middle class, unlike cheryl! She also can hardly sing, its more talking to a tune. She will not be remembered in a few years!

You know, this would actually be a half reasonable argument if you were comparing Lily to somebody like Dolly Parton, the Beatles, Elvis Presley, etc, etc, but you're talking about Girls Aloud, for crying out Aloud. They are a bunch of girls who can hold a tune occasionally, though that's not completely unheard of for the female of the species, but aside from that they have no talent to speak of.

Any member of Girls Aloud could sing smile, LDN, Littlest things better than Lily Allen could. All Lily has is her sharp tongue which is useful for her songwriting. She's clever in that she is good at rhyming etc but please, the day I see Lily Allen singing and dancing a pretty difficult routine live is the day I'll shut up, and lets face it, that aint gonna happen!

You'll be telling me that Leonard Cohen can't sing, next! Actually I find the gobby little minx to have a nice voice. Or is it just that there isn't the glossy production drowning everything else out? Since I have no intention of buying any of their output I don't suppose it really matters.

But could they mean it? If you see what I mean? We're at opposite ends of the spectrum Ben. If I want to see girls dancing, I'll go to the ballet or a gentleman's club. If I want to hear girls singing (quite why I would is a mystery) I'll go to a gig. The sound is more important than the image.

I have never said Girls Aloud are amazing singers, well Nadine is but the other four are good, they can sing in tune without aids as seen in 2 arena tours, and performance wise they come behind only Kylie.

Yes, I look at Kylie, I think she looks great and I think she is a nice person, I would also like to root her until my d!ck fell off, though if I did ever get the chance I am sure I would be like the dog who does actually catch the bus. However, that still doesn't make me want to buy her music, or even like her music, for that matter.

To you and thousands of other poor little misguided soles, the 'overall performance' may be important, but to the rest of us it doesn't matter a jot, as MG said. In fact the concept is so alien to me, I just can't comprehend it. I like mainly guitarists, but I would never rate one guitarist over another because he dances better while he's playing.

I see what you mean but Girls Aloud are not talentless and are not as popular among kids as many assume, infact thei glasgow gig the other day was aparently solely 20 somethings. Im nt misguided either, because I have listened to stuff people on here have said is good and I simply just don't really like it. I'm sorry if my music taste is a bit crap in your opinions but I like it and really thats all that matters. But I just wish people would stop claiming Girls Aloud are talentless sluts!

It doesn't bother me what you like in music, it is your own choice after all, but you keep ramming it down our throats about how good they are. I'm sorry to say, Ben, they are just not talented singer/songwriters, they are just average in the great scheme of things. They have a talent, but it's not music - look at their image now compared to when they first started for evidence of it. If you like them, fine, I honestly don't have a problem with it, but it doesn't matter how many times you proclaim how good they are, it just won't change the facts!

i dunno, crazy fool, crazy lie, thank me daddy, its magic etc are pretty good song for a first attempt. I know I ram it down your throats, i just ge annoyed that people say they are talentless. Lily allen is a good lyracist, nothing more! Cheryl can hold a tune and has written 2 very good songs and when live has a very distinctive voice yet she is classed as untalented! Whatever
