Quiet One 15 Report post Posted July 10, 2007 Ok, enough of "drivers vs. cars vs. teams vs FIA" crap. I know the truth! In my infinite generosity I am going to share it with you fools. The problem is, nowadays F1 has too many pretty faces. These guys are OK if you wanna advertise a new parfum or underwear, but usn't it a little odd there are practically no ugly F1 drivers? For the younger posters, let me remind you what was F1 about in the past: That's the reason behind the alleged increased safety, too. Those old idols were not afraid of pushing to the limit. Accidents didn't scare them. Today guys are afraid their pretty faces may get horribly scarred (like Lauda's, and to be honest, Lauda looked even uglier BEFORE the accident). Are you like, on some, like, totally, like, trippin', like, dope, man? Duuude. (Too many Scott Speed interviews does that to me...) Actually, it's kind of true, what you said. Whether or not it's because they are pretty or for other reasons, they don't go balls out and race.
