there was one thing i sore on Sato's car neer the end of the race and made ne thing "jow strong are BAR bilding there cars's" because his Frount wing looked like it was about to fall on to the ground it only looked like this on the ends of the frount wing so maby BAR are not making ther wings strong enouf.

The offer Toyota has apparently given Ralf, if it is reported accurately, is far too generous. I believe contracts should be performance pay related with a small guaranteed fixed amount. This way drivers are more motivated too do well and it’s a fairer, more deserving system. Obviously the wage can’t be 100% performance pay related as this is not fair if retirements or bad luck come to into play – numerous clauses about pay for certain places before retirements etc is in my mind not needed as the guaranteed fixed amount should cover this aspect of contractual wage agreements. Further more, Ralf is placing too much emphasis on wages and not taking into account the `cost` of being in a good car.

Indeed, a large part of the reason Toyota apparently want Ralf Schumacher must be due to his surname. For marketing purposes it can’t hurt to have the younger brother of the most successful F1 driver of all time! He’s also fairly quick of course but terribly inconsistent. I really can’t understand why Toyota would want Ralf over DC, who yet again is doing a sterling job for McLaren...

i know it's very early, and i think mclaren have the best races of their season ahead of them, but i like to think of what would happen if kimi actually bails next year. that would certainly spice things up wouldn't it.

you have ralf --> toyota leaving 2 seats at williams.

would mclaren consider keeping dc? williams would be the only real option for kimi, cos no doubt ferrari would be out if michael's still around. but then the ferrari boss likes kimi..

ah the silly season permutations are endless..

As long as McLaren start getting results soon Kimi will still be there next year. I know he was unhappy that Montoya was singed to partner him in 2005 and that Ferrari have expressed an interest in him but Kimi has a contract will McLaren and Ron is not likely to forget that. Further more, Rubens and Michael will be at Ferrari next year so that doesn’t leave any spare seats at Ferrari and Kimi is unlikely to want to drive for Ferrari whilst Michael is still there anyway.

williams does look like his only reasonable option. but its usually the other way round eh, mclaren stealing williams' people..

unless m$ retires yes ferrari is out, but i read somewhere that the contract with mclaren is structured that kimi has the option on mclaren for next year, not the other way round. really only the parties involved really know how tight the contracts are.

i am really getting used to the idea that there will be 2 open seats at williams tho, which makes for an interesting management battle behind the scenes.

the thing that gets me is that DC and betean Kimi at every stage this season. and in the races DC was ahead of Kimi when his engine went. DC seames to take the MP4-19 to its liments but kimi just does not have a clue with this car

DC is doing a good job for McLaren this year – as per usual. DC must be one of the most underrated F1 drivers of today. Quite a lot of people don’t think too highly of him, many prefer Ralf (for some strange reason) and yet DC quietly does his job on the track...

By the way, Sato was braking hard because he reacted to ralf mocving across and leaving no room, you only lift of in that corner if you take it shallow or go wide, otherwise its full speed.

definitely ralf's fault. sato even showed later in the race how it's supposed to be done when he went around dc..

my prior comments also stand.

same corner same move. a) ralf fudged it. b ) sato didn't. conclusion: sato showed ralf how it's done.
