Does the fact that this track is used so very rarely impact the starting positions? I would think that given the amount of dust seen during FP3 and Quali, that starting on the even numbered grid slots would be tricky. Would the support races clean the track enough, I wonder?

The one bloody driver who could make life tough for Seb; and he's sitting on pole with a contract for next year, obliged to tow the line. Which he will.

Quite a frenetic start, though it's absolutely shocking that Grosjean didn't tag anyone.

Good start by Seb, hope his car lasts through to the finish.

Downforce problems for Hamilton. Another thud required.

Vettel finally leads the standings. Alonso's hopes now rest on his own car's fantastic reliability, improved pace.

.

I have heard of a new upgrade(s) that is almost going to garentee that alonso will win every race; Red shell, blue flying shell and mini-guns on front wing

Hamilton admitted he hopes Ferrari’s Alonso – his former McLaren teammate – beats Sebastian Vettel to the world championship.
“I still think Fernando is the best driver. The cleanest, the most sensitive, the most complete,” said Hamilton.
“He is always taking points despite not having the fastest car, while Vettel has always had a great car these past years,” he added.
But the Briton admitted: “With his (Red Bull) car, he is going to be hard to beat, even for Fernando.”
Finally, after years of acrimony from Spanish supporters, the interviewer told Hamilton that Spain now “respects” the 27-year-old.
“Really?” Hamilton responded. “Are you serious? You don’t know how happy that makes me.”

KK's accident was unavoidable given the position he had got himself into but he shouldn't have been there - period. Eddie Jordan's crack that it was Button's fault for not qualifying higher is completely stupid and underlines just what a complete twat he really is. There are far too many incidents concerning the younger drivers and the responsibility must lie with the teams. There is some really nutty stuff going on out there with super fast car on volatile tyres. It's like putting buffalo calves onto a skating rink and the introduction of some driver coaches wouldn't be a bad idea in my book. Ferrari could have won this race if they had let Felipe run free. It just goes to show how blisteringly fast the Brazilian can be when his brain is in gear. A move would do him good but it won't happen.
