I follow the blog of American illustrator/teacher James Gurney (of Dinotopia fame) and he linked a very good tool for finding color schemes. It's called Color Scheme Designer 3 and it's a free resource for finding, you guessed it, color schemes. I find it very useful in paintings and illustrations. I just locate one dominant hue and the program spews out suggestions for what other hues work well with my dominant one. I suppose one could also use it for more mundane things like picking a trim to go with the color of a bedroom or some such....

Neat little tool. I assume you have seen Adobe's kuler. Same idea with slightly different implementation.

Color Theory... mhh, remembering those years at University Great tool if you desesperately need a specific color... cheers! (of course Adobe Illustrator has a similar but of course not so friendly tool).
