Sato will drop ten places to 19th. Well done to Massa grabing 4th!

And our good friend Micheal found the gravel trap at corner 1 and will start 18th, but more likely from the pits. :D

yes, and lets hope he comes across his good friend in p12, as he tries to carve up though the midfield. :D

It doesn't look good on the face of it, but look harder and it's relatively positive for JV. He's only .4 off Alonso, which is good considering the circumstances, but JV did a time in pre quali which would have put him 3rd on the grid, and his eventual quali time was similar to his practice time, which to me looks as if he's running heavy. JV will move to 12th cos of Sato's engine going on Friday. We may see JV and M$ in a battle during the race!!

and lets not forget the fact that by the time he gets to the first turn he will be in 9th or 10th

i haven't been too impressed with JV, but i haven't been with Alonso either, so perhaps renualt isn't liking the track.

I sincerely hope you are wrong. BAR is doing well and it would be catastropic if Renault allow them to take any additional advantage if the Championship( of, course everything concerns JV or else I would'nt bother)

i agree, they've been sluggish all weekend. it is odd though, because it's been said the cars run a lot of downforce at china, and renault are usually good on such tracks.

maybe it is the understeer, i've noticed a lot of that too on the in-car shots this year.

The Understeer problems seem to be a lesser issue as the track should get gripper as the race goes on to lessen that effect.

I would not say Jacques is running Heavy ....because he did state he made some errors in qualifing and he maybe off by up to 3 tenths ,so real close to 7-8 on the grid.

I would not expect him to qualify top 4 , but the next 4 would be more optimum should he take a slightly heavier fuel load than Alonso for Team strategy and being in need of pace advantage than Race advantage.

What about J.P.M. , only 11th ? is he Heavy on fuel and Ralf light being in 5th ? ....should Jacques be normal on fuel load he should be pressing on the next drivers just ahead of him in the opening laps unless he rockets past them in the start ...then it will just be some other driver he will be needing to pass.

I do not know ...there is alot of subjective evaluating on this all , I am not so sure Renault would want Jacques taking on a heavy fuel load to be back of the lighter driver so much in laps (more than 3 difference)

After this all....M.SCHum. spun and is in the back ...go figure

Massa is light .

If reno are haing understeer take some rear wing off! you''ll be faster down the straight and not lose time in the corners!

what about the JV-JPM battle early, JPM passed him twice but with superior traction JV just repassed him, the Renault still has great acceleration.

And when MS passed JV? but he had to go to the pits unfortunately... And what was the deal with Ralf in the pits? I knew he had a puncture, but what led to his retirement?

Renault was almost rubbish this weekend, you just have to see the fastest laps in race. Alonso 10 th and JV 17 th... on this condittions the icredible thing is that they achieved 5 points.

Ralf had no car probs. The mechanics checked over the car and made Ralf pull over so JPM could do his stop. Ralf didn't want to go back out as he'd lost two laps and hence didn't and he retired. As for M$ passing JV, he was on light tanks, as shown by him pitting straight away.
