Raikkonen Should Have Been Punished?

Recommended Posts

I'm still waiting for an answer to where this info came from, cos sorry my friend I just don't believe it!

Sorry I haven't been back to this post in awhile but Brad posted a link to the tweet. Why do you find that so hard to believe? Other than Perez at Monaco, Kimi's never vented anger or frustration towards any other drivers. Kimi's one of the nice guys here. You can be sure 1000% if it was Maldonado, Perez or half the grid in fact who had just suffered a 47G crash, they'd be screaming about it afterwards blaming the grass, another driver etc.

Fair comment. It was broadcast on the TV, why does anyone need to provide proof that it was said? We all heard it. If you did not, that does not mean it did not happen.

As far as Raikkonen goes I do not think any other driver would have asked after Massa in those circumstances, even the Badger.

I think it's all down because he knows how hard Massa hit. I Beleive any driver with "common" morals would have done the same thing. As for the honey badger, yea it's a weapon but I would go with the boxing kangaroo IMO. But that's me.

How many drivers, even in Massa's own case, have asked firstly about the other driver if they are ok in racing crashes this year? So I think it's way more rare what Kimi did.

We don't get to hear them all you're right. But we do get to listen to them once they get back into the paddock after a crash, and it's like a broken record. It's always such and such's fault. He didn't leave me enough room blah blah. So you then have to wonder if their first response when still in the crashed car is to ask about the other guy. I doubt it.

Maybe your right but I would. Best sporting moment I've seen in this sport is when Ayrton Senna stopped his Mclaren at spa, jumps out and runs over to the unconscious Eric Comas, while cars are weaving around senna and the debris.

Hey I'm lazy ok! Thanks for the link

I don't know, it's hard to judge Kimi's personality because he doesnt show it much, but from what he does show, he just doesnt seem like he'd be Mr Caring. I hasten to add I don't know him at all and he may be the nicest guy in the F1 circus. But he's also the guy who casually pushed a cameraman over on his a*se on the grid and didn't bat an eyelid.

Sorry I didn't hear it. I really wanted it to be true so I wanted to know where the info came from that's all. I'm a bit sceptical as to whether Ferrari's own twitter account is proof but if you say it was broadcast on air then I believe you and I'm glad it is true cos it makes me see Kimi actually is an ok guy!

Kimi's done lots of cool things. He's guarded, but privately is a really cool and nice guy.

Thing is the cameramen, photogs and so on, jostle and barge around on a daily basis to scramble to get a good shot. Kimi pushing one once doesn't bother me. I'd wager the guy was too close in his face and was probably asked and told to give him some space. Kimi pushing one each race weekend, then that's a problem.

Kimi's no Justin Beiber who attacks anyone who takes a pic of him in private and sicks his bodyguard dogs onto anyone, stealing their cameras and phones, taking out the memory cards or just smashing it. It was a one off incident and thus I'm inclined to believe more happened we are not fully aware of. Kimi hasn't shown that kind of behavior before either, so that's another clue.

I liked Brundle interviewing him, both sat on a lawnmower.

He won it alright, at a canter. The others looked like they were trying hard but Raikkonen was all class.

I reckon the cameraman probably deserved the push, but fair call, he should not have done it, despite whatever provocation took place.

Camera man probably deserved it, all up in his face, they do deal with alot, me personally that would do my head in, heck I saw on a f1 page recently, a story and photos of Button and his Missus having a shower on the beach. Really, who bloody cares. That lack of privacy would get to me aswell.

That's part of the job though. As an f1 driver cameras will be shoved in your face. I'd like to see more of the Kimi who told Brundle on the 2006 Brazilian GP grid that he was taking a sh*t, rather than the robot-Kimi. We're all different though I suppose!

Yeah, he was warned not to come too close, but then the cameraman kept pushing, invading space...
