Hungarian GP Winners & Losers

Sunday July 31 2005

It wasn't a race rich with overtaking and excitement - though Ferrari and McLaren fans will have a nice warm glow. Unlike Jacques Villeneuve who had a nice warm glowing car...

Star of the Race

Kimi Raikkonen, McLaren Mercedes, Winner

Raikkonen did everything he had to do in Budapest. He had just three laps of fuel less than polesitter Michael Schumacher but he still qualified fourth on the grid

yes but the reason williams let button go for montoya is that he had a contract with montoya! i'm sure the williams-bmw contract is a lot more complex than jenson and williams'. bmw decided to buy another team, it's a lot more complex than signing up a single driver.

The early demise of the RedBull team was incredibly disappointing. All the chaos on the first lap took both drivers out early. The team was most definitely high on the Big Loser list for this week. Crap...

I pretty much agreed with it. There isn't a lot to say about it to be honest. I think they got it more or less right.

If Fernando hadn't gone into Ralf then yes he would have finished higher up than them, and Fisi would have finished behind them regardless of his last lap blunder.

Renault didn't c##k up, the drivers did. That makes Williams's points fair and square, end. Strong points for both drivers, good gamble with the new aero, good driving from the drivers.

The same can be said about BAR as well. If not for JPM's retirement and RB's additional pitstop, BAR would have been shunted out of the top 8.

Excuse me, but they got the same amount of points as BAR and benefited from the same c##k ups, and wtf does it matter? In EVERY RACE someone benefits from someone else, and I don't hear you saying the same about Button all the time.

Williams were there to pick up the points when others wasn't - quite simple.

indeed. Both Renault drivers, and the Renault car to an extent just couldn't click all weekend really, whilst both Williams' drivers did well in the race and deserved the points. Had to laugh at Blundell's comments listed there.

The Williams pair's points were genuine, I don't see what people's problems are about that. They got points, they did well, deal with it.

This Andrew Davies must be the most biased SOB to review a race.

Star of the race: Kimi!!!! What was he thinking? It shoudl go to Jarno, he drove the entire race with damaged diffuser and a damged rearwing endplate.

Overtaking Move Of The race: Kimi over Montoya!!!! Montoya moved over and let Kimi pass him, and that is not a pass. This should go to Alonso making a move over Doornbos. Even Rubens move over Narain looked good, as Narain braked early and Rubens had to take evasive action and then pass him. Both these were brilliant.

This moron is completly unbelivable, no matter what happens the star of the race should go to kimi. Take Silverstone JPM won, but he gave it to Kimi saying that Kimi from 12th he came 3rd. Hockenhiem JPM moves from 20th to 2nd and he gives it to Kimi, and again for this race.

Oh well on top of it he argues Jenson's case like an idiot. Complete Twat.

This article is absolutely useless. I have seen the replay of the race a few times, and Star of the race and the overtaking moves are completly flawled.

Reminded me of a few Jenson Fans in this forum. That Stupid and Dumb.
