Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 JPM's ResumeSure does look fine and impressive, as you can see he accomplished a lot on his rookie year. Victory, Pole, Fast lap and Podium etc. You can't say the same thing about your driver can you? Do you want me to post Jenson's resume to see how he compares!!!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But thats missing all his bad points, and theres ALOT!
Sato 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 It shows he has the killer instinct to win races though. Something Buttons can't show, and lets not be silly, its an important trait to have.
Monty 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 You tell em Monty!I don't know why you mention how Sato is worse everytime JB comes under speculation. Many people have the opinion Sato is not a good enough driver. If he is so poor, why does it matter JB beats him? So you'll have to use a better escapegoat to convince me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess that is the only way they can make Jenson look better and unfortunately Sato is having a rough time this year. One of the reasons why I want Jenson to move to Williams and pair up with Webber is to measure his true potential, or for that matter stay at BAR and pair up with Rubens and that would be intesting too. I agree Button is smooth, but he certainly doesnt have the raw speed that Webber owns. I can imagine the excuses these guys come up with next year.
Buttonfan 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Sato mite blame his bad year on the number 4, since it is an unlucky number in Japan

Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 JPMButton As you can see Jenson was on the podium in 2004 and accomplished a few on his 5th season. (JPM achieved them all plus victory and fast lap on his rookie year) However, the race victory and fast lap are something that he is yet to accomplish and seems to be beyond his capabilities. So I wait and wait and wait........ More Food for thought: JPM on an average scores 3.26 points per race JB on an average scores 1.58 points per race JPM has 25 podiums and gets on the podium every 3.12 race JB has 10 podiums and gets on the podium every 9.4 race JPM has led 27 races JB has led 8 races. JPM got his 1 Podium on his 5th race. JB got his 1 podium on his 69th race. (5th season) Do you need more JR? or will you shut up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thats all well and good, but JB has only had 1 really good car, in a year of ferrari utter domination! Montoya on the other hand has had race winning cars throughout the whole of his career preety much!

Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Look im not in anyway denying that Montoya is an accomplished driver, but when you look at their relative machinery, Montoya's acheivements become much less impressive. But then compare Montoyas stats with say for example, kimis or alonos, it puts his rather to shame!
Sato 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 hypocritical...... JB's first car was podium material as shown by Ralf.... But JB didn't get a podium that year, did he?
Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 hypocritical...... JB's first car was podium material as shown by Ralf.... But JB didn't get a podium that year, did he? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And how many times did ralf get it on the podium?
Monty 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Look im not in anyway denying that Montoya is an accomplished driver, <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well at least with him it seems to be just one big mistake a season, unlike many others! Imagine JPM's, or even worse TS's resume! LOL Really you seems to contradicte yourself. You said that JPM's resume looks bad. compare Montoyas stats with say for example, kimis or alonos, it puts his rather to shame! Hey it is you Jenson fans who compare him with Sato and claim how great he is. I have never compared JPM with any other driver who is not in the same level and claimed he was better. Besides I always said that Alonso and Kimi were better than JPM. I happen to support a driver who has proven himself as a winner, whereas you seems to be supporting a loser and I don't have a problem with that. I have a problem only when you portray JPM as bad. Monty 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 And how many times did ralf get it on the podium? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thrice with two 4th places and three 5th places. Jenson, the closest he got was 4th at Hockenhiem.

I dont portray JPM as bad ether, hes probably joint 5th best driver in the field, as i said stats are useless when you compare to drivers from different teams who also have never been teamates, and also when on eof the drivers has had a race winning car every season! Also Jb may not have gotten 3 podiums in his first season, but managed some very good drives, most notably hockenheim where he started 16th and finished 4th, which is no small feat! It is also the reason why the best teams have signed him up. Button had a race winning car in 2004 and what did he do? Drove it around like an old lass in a cadillac <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats not true, he clearly could have won a few races last year but for certain reason he didnt, some due to being unlucky (brazil, germany) and others where otehr cars were just much much quicker (monza for example)

Jb shud have won hockenheim but had to change his engine, He retired from brazil, where he overtook the eventual winner, his car was not the fastest at imola due to ms and ferrari, again that same trend happened in monza and shanghai! If someone can be in the podium 10 times in a season and not win a race and also not record a fast lap, it is more than the car, bad luck and all that bollocks. Mp4 19B was not introduced only in France, and Kimi had 3 retirements with that car which is what JB had the entire season.

He scored 41 to 37 of Kimi's. Please explain this. (BTW JPM scored only 34 points after France but did win a race) My point is till about France ( which is 10 races) Mclaren had an unrelaible car and Williams were never quick. (all through the season) Button only had Ferrari to deal with and in Montecarlo MS retired and Button finished 2nd behind Trulli.... and in other races when MS was slower the other drivers in slower car were able to win but not your driver. Why is that?

And the renault was just as good as the BAR in the first half of the season, maybe even better actually!
