I remember that 2004 Monaco GP very well, him knowing that the streets were narrow, as soon as he heard that the engine was not sounding rite, he should have headed for the pits, instead of wrecking alot of cars

That's right. Whether or not his team instructed him to pull-over or stay out he excercised extremely poor judgement and a total disregard for the safety of his fellow competitors in attempting to continue when his race was so obviously over. He could have easily killed Giancarlo Fisichella among others and I will never forgive him for this.

I was really hoping for some discussion. What are the incidents that make up the slots from 6-10? Perhaps his double retirement, cooking the brakes inside half distance in Bahrain, something else? There are so many, come on forum!

For some reason i can not think of any of his worst moments, but as AR5 said, his one good achievement was Indy 04, podium, but half the field was out of the race, which godd old Zsolt scored 1 point for Minardi last year

One of Sato's funniest moments (well, to me it is) was when he was in a race this season, he went out for whatever, then BAR sent him out about 27 laps down, and about 5 laps later, his engine blows! Some use that was!

what are you on about? there have been only 2 engine blows for honda this season and sato was nvolved in neither of them! please provide specific references to this so-called event and a link if possible. otherwise we are endertaking in p**s taking (australian for making up stories).

even if what you said above did happen (and it didn't) how can you laugh at him for that?? i think you are referring to the race when his gearbox blew and the team repaired it for him and sent him out again in order to gain a better quali position by finishing the race, which he did. otherwise i don't know what you're referring to.

ffs people, sato's had some embarassingly funny moments in his career, the engine stallage on the warm up lap is easily no. 1, but do we really need to make up stuff that didn't happen?? taking a page out of bajo's book i see...

No, he's denying it was engine related, or Sato's fault. Which is true. He is 100% correct in this, as it was a gearbox that took him out first (similiar to what button had at the start, before crashing into a wall), and the second i don't recall to well but it resulted in the back brakes locking and spinning him off track at the haripin (not hitting a wall).

no, it was 2 transmission failures which were not his fault, and therefore should be excluded from ridicule and your list. and yes as sato sato said my point was also that they were not engine-related at all.

now i just wait for you to say it was his embarrasing driving style that caused both these failures...

During the race I thought he had blown his tranny, retired, then reappeared only to blow his brakes. There was talk of it being hydraulics related after the race but I don't trust anything coming from BAR-Honda unless it's bad.

whatever blew, it smoked and sato had a double retirement in one race. And I just thought it was funny. Maybe I should laugh at BAR Honda instead then

well BAR's embrassing moments then definitely not Sato's. and they sent him out only to gain qualying positions(which all other teams do) so a double retirment could have happened to anybody this season Sato just happened to be one of them

It makes matters funnier when Takuma Sato is sat in the car. If I recall correctly, he didn't even make up any quali positions.
