Something that made that less humiliating was the fact taht DC was not the only driver to crash into the pit lane in that race. Moreno did the same thing when he entered the pit lane. Im not sure but i think there was some oil on the track.

But i think the most humiliating accident i can remember was Button in a Williams in his first year when he ran into the wall while the safety car was out. Overall i have seen some humiliating crashes and im forced to admitt DC's was right up there with the worst of them.

Quite so nojvnof1! You have forgotten about Monty's pathetic "contribution" to the team's effort though.

I don't see how you could call JPM's contribution pathetic when he won 3 races. Admittedly he was involved in some rather silly accidents late in the year which of course cost McLaren points. However, you could also look at it as McLaren (car and drivers) having to push beyond the limits to make up for their slow start to the season in comparison to Renault.

That's my point. Wurz had exactly the same car, and although off Kimi's pace, brought the car home in P3 and scored valuable points. Kimi was told to take it easy and blatantly ignored their advice to his and the team's detriment. I'm not for 'babying' the car all race, but if the team told you the car will fail if driven in a certain way, then Kimi should have listened. He and the team needed the points for their respective championships as they were already way behind Renault.

what in the world are u on about,at no point in the season was JPM under any pressure,infact all(most ,anyway) his incidents can be attributed to lapse in concentration as he himself tells at the post race press conference at the belgian gp and turkish gp that he was cruising..

So JPM wasn't under any pressure to a. help Kimi for the WDC and b. score big points for McLaren in their quest for the WCC. My point is that due to their slow start, McLaren and its drivers started behind the 8-ball so to speak in their respective championships and so had to push themselves and the car further to and past its limits than Renault or its drivers.

Furthermore, JPM did not visibly help Kimi once in the whole season. He had several opportunities to help his team-mate, e.g. Brazil but decided against it. He is clearly not a team player.
