Will Christian Horner Keep His Promise

Recommended Posts

I was nice to see Red Bull on the podium though but Im so gutted that Klien didnt get on the podium he was 5th at the time and if he didnt have mechanical problems he would of been on the podium just something he really needed because he never seems to get any limelight its all DC at red bull :( .

But it was still nice to see Dc on podium and I thought the cape was fine. Formula 1 is meant to be fun thats why I love Red bull for bringing back the F.un in F1. (see wat I did there with the F(un) and F(1) clever init :mellow: )

DC said in the press conference that even if klien hadnt broken down, he would have moved out of the way for DC!!

The tv commentators reminded me that Senna did much the same thing after crashing out in the lead...

There are important difference between Kimi and Senna, just as there are between Schumacher, or indeed any other driver, and Senna...

DC: (taken from f1.com) "I was going to overtake him of course! I was quicker, so working on the basis that it

I was quicker I qualified ahead but was behind him on track :rolleyes2: His arrogance knows no bounds.

Quite shameful using his clever PR abilities and seniority, and close contact with Newey to force a superior teammate to move over.

They were on different strategies, the safety car ruined DC's race (it seemed)! so he ended up behind klien

The safety car didn't ruin DC's race, it ruined Michael's race. He was on a crap strategy - that is his problem. Michael didn't make excuses when Massa finished ahead, I'd expect the same from DC.

The one thing which ruined DC's strategy was Rubens Barrichello. In comparison Klien was not comprised by anyone the entire race. Im not taking anything away from Klien as he drove really well but you also have to remember that if Barrichello wasnt holding DC up for nearly half the race then he would have beaten Klien by a rather large margin.

Cav, your driver has been caught cheating yet again. You're in no position to point the finger at anyone else, especially DC and especially based on this evidence.

It was strategy/safety car cav, read any race report on any respectable website. Don't let your anti-DC sentiments take over!

So if Michael gets accused of cheating, it buys DC some kind of immunity?

The dafety car did nothing. That strategy is not an excuse. DC lost to his teammate but was extremely fortunate this weekend, he should accept that, rather than making comments like 'I would have gone past anyway.' Its virtually impossible to overtake your teammate at Monaco.

You're the ONLY person who thinks klien was better. DC was on a 2-stopper and had to change his strategy to a 1-stop cos of the safety car. Get spa 98 out of your head and talk sense! If u dont believe me then see the race analysis on f1.com

The same people were lauding Massa for doing the same at Malaysia. Have some consistency for christ's sake.

No but a wise man once said

Have some consistency for christ's sake.

and who can argue with that.

DC said that the team would have let him though since he was quicker. All teams do things like that. Not many cheat like Schumi.

I hasten to add I have no problem with Schumi but I would never attack someone else for relatively minor rules bending!

Which is why I said Massa had a better race at Malaysia.

If he was quicker, he would have been in front in the first place wouldn't he?

When DC ended up behind klien he had a lot more pace

How do you know that? Even i he did at that point it is irrelevent, Michael was faster when he was behind Massa but he oculd not get past - and this is Michael, and at Sepang. DC at Monaco overtaking Klien in the same car - very unlikely I'd say.

DC caught up with him quickly and was all over the back of him. Whether he would've got past is a different story, I dont know if klien would've just let him by

If Klien let him by, that would be cheating (not that they would get punished of course by FIAlonso ;) )

Massa let MS by on lap 1 - these rules are weird I never understand whats legal and whats not

Massa didn't let him by, MS basically went past. Look up the timings and see how long Massa took to get past the drivers that Michael was past basically by lap 2 (try visionf1.com).

Massa was going very very wide round mirabeau - he let him by. Watch lap 1 if u can, you will see. I'm not a schumi fan at all, I speak the honest truth!

Massa was quite lost in the first 2-3 laps for some reason, look at their lap times. In fact Massa was a massive disappointment, in a race which does separate the men from the boys to a certain extent.
