The Official Testing Thread

I dont agree. I Think it will be solely between renault and Honda. If Honda's starts have improved then I think Honda could win it, but pit strategy will be mega important.

Dreaming is good Jenson but, you should try to be a little bit more realistic. That's how dreamers get hurt

I don't think Ben is dreaming! I see Honda - Renault battle at the front, they will be ahead of McLaren and Ferrari for sure. It is about time for Honda to start winning in my mind and they have all the right elements to do so this year.

As for BMW I am wishing that they will finish top 5 in WCC so I see points finish for both drivers in Bahrain

As much as I don't want it, Ferrari will be up there with Renault and Mclaren, Jenson will choke, his balls are not quite big enough, that's just the kind of guy he is,he is another DC. what are you going to do? Nobody is going to change the world!

Renault were "gifted" a lot of points last season. Lets see how they do this season. For me, this is how the WCC would be;

1) Renault

2) Honda (should be close)

3) McLaren (let down by reliability problems)

4) Ferrari

5) Toyota

6) BMW (I personally think that could be close with toyota - laugh at me now, you won't be laughing later)

7) Williams

8) RBR

9) STR

10) MF1

11) SAF1 (man they're gonna suck!)

Yup I see BMW finishing 5th or 6th this year! Really don't know who will win between Honda or Renault tho.....

Yes, but you must admit McLaren have come on strong in the last week or two. They've gained both speed and reliability.
6) BMW (I personally think that could be close with toyota - laugh at me now, you won't be laughing later)

I totally agree with you. I think BMW Sauber are better prepared than Toyota at the moment as Toyota seem to be having a little trouble with their new aero package.

You should also add to the list :

- engine power

- suspension

- tyres

- drivers

Toyota weren't all that impressive in off season testing. I was actually quite surprised by their relative lack of pace.

red Bull have been pretty terrible too, reliability really isnt good for them it appears. The car itself also dosnt seem to be all that good.

Ive been pleasently surprised by BMW's pace, and have been pleased with Renaults pace. But what has pleased me most and has in a way surprised me after their 2005 campaign is Honda's winter testing. Most testing miles, JB convering most laps of ALL drivers, strong, fast, just overall very competative.

 Here's to a great new season guys, enjoy.

:D I agree with that, but what has suprised me most is how McLaren seams to have c#cked it up.

Ferrari I'm not worried about because they offten don't show their hand till the first race.

The williams Cossie has shown promise also, to bad the have Webbo as their #1 driver.
