If you want to look through the current:

Mine are:
Current: JB, Christijan Albers, JV.
Old: Nelson Piquet's with the Parmalat ad (80-82?), Prost (all).

Other notables:
Button, Hakkinen, Mario Andretti, Hunt, Peterson, Brabham (the copper one), JV
Best use of a national flag/design:
Cheever (USA), Alonso (Spain/Asturias), DC (Scotland), Stewart (Scotland/Stewart clan), Stefan Bellof (Germany)
I like the late 70's and early 80's helmet designs overall.
Nice thread, Ctrl, I hope everybody posts...

Dig that jive, Jack. Put it in your pocket, and don't look back.

It was just stupid of me to forget MH's helmet, one of my all time fav's. Looks like Don Johnsons boat in Miami Vice, sweet.

Gilles and Senna stand out from the past generation.

"You just don't mess with Jacques Villeneuve" - Murray Walker, 1997 Hungarian GP.
"When Jacques was with us, he was a very aggressive driver, fiercely competitive, mentally hard as nails. Very quick with it, very gifted. A bright fellow, undoubtedly, very intelligent. He was an absolutely born racing driver - look at the way he'd bang wheels with Michael, pass people on the outside, that kind of thing" -Sir Frank Williams on Jacques Villeneuve
"This year, with BMW, JV's going very well, and I'm pleased for him. Whether or not he'll get a drive next year I don't know, but I hope he does, he's an unusual, and very strong addition to the F1 community. A character." - Sir Frank Williams again on Jacques Villeneuve
The Nojvnof1 2006 driver lineup - Jacques Villeneuve, Nico Rosberg, Christian Klein, Scott Speed.

Nigel mansell,

Karl Wendlinger,

Gerhard Berger...

I know they are not as "artistic" as now, but I love its simplicity

That's the type of 'helmut' that Rickenbacher, Ferdidnan(?), Enzo and others would've worn 'back in the day'

First up, Trulli, for tvbf1. I think this style of chrome helmet was first done by Paul Tracy in CART (?).

Alonso's helmet (2004, not the mixed-up one he has now)

Stefan Bellof, pretty exciting for a German, eh

Finally Eddie Cheever. I'm only a fan of his helmet.

and somehow i dont think fangio was waring his for protestion, more like aerodynamic help
lastly, the lid i really dislike is JV's, i just dont like that pinkish stripe, it makes me want to throw up every time i see it. its too off pink, if you are going to use pink dont have it be really grey pink

The Masters have returned.
"People were being killed left, right and center back then," [Phil Hill] says. "I became hyper-sensitive to the danger, and wasn't sure that I wasn't going to kill myself. As a result, racing brought out the worst in me. Without it, I don't know what kind of person I might have become. But I'm not sure I liked the person I did become, because I was selfish, irritable and defensive."

Anthony Davidson's helmet looks almost the same as Cheever's (I'm a fan of both Autumnpuma).
I like JB's helmet the most out of the current drivers.
