1: If Champ Car (CCWS) had a race within 30 minutes of you, would you go? Maybe.

2: If IndyCar (IRL) had a race within 30 minutes of you, would you go? Ditto.

3: If NASCAR had a race close within 30 minutes of you, would you go? Ditto.

4: If CCWS had a race within 1 hour of you, would you go? Maybe.

5: If IRL had a race within 1 hour of you, would you go? Nope.

6: If NASCAR had a race within 1 hour of you, would you go?Maybe.

7: If CCWS had a race within 2 hours of you, would you go? Nope.

8: If IRL had a race within 2 hours of you, would you go? Nope.

9: If NASCAR had a race with 2 hours of you, would you go? Nope.

10: If CCWS was on TV at a reasonable time, would you watch?Yes (reasonable times for me are within 20-21hs except it's "Mythbusters", "Futurama", "The Simpsons" or F1)

11: If IRL was on TV at a reasonable time, would you watch? Ditto.

12: If NASCAR was on TV at a reasonable time, would you watch? Ditto.

13: In 1-3 sentences, what is your general opinion of CCWS? Nice cars. Good idea. The best American Series.

14: In 1-3 sentences, what is your general opinion of IRL? Boring. Motorsport's version of Baseball.

15: In 1-3 sentences, what is your general opinion of NASCAR? We have Turismo Carretera here, it's basically the same, with even uglier cars and sloppier drivers, but better tracks (no ovals, many old and tricky tracks that at least make for a great crashing show, and way shorter than NASCAR races). I don't like Turismo Carretera. Why would I like NASCAR?

Thanks for your time.

1: If Champ Car (CCWS) had a race within 30 minutes of you, would you go?
Is a Fat Dog heavy?  (I'll include a pic of the Fat Dog in question if anyone wants.  Mike's seen him.)

2: If IndyCar (IRL) had a race within 30 minutes of you, would you go?
Not likely.  Maybe on Friday/Saturday, but not on Sunday.

3: If NASCAR had a race close within 30 minutes of you, would you go?
See 2.  Also, see 6, 12 and 15 below.

4: If CCWS had a race within 1 hour of you, would you go?
Yup.

5: If IRL had a race within 1 hour of you, would you go?
Funtana is just over 1 hour (depending on traffic and my willingness to conserve fuel) away.  Are they there yet?  I don't care.  Actually.  No.  No Dollars to Turririst Organizations:  that is, no spacebucks to King George).

6: If NASCAR had a race within 1 hour of you, would you go?
See 5 re: Fontucky.  That said, no.  Ironically enough, I'm more likely to go to a NASCAB event than I am to an Injury League event.

7: If CCWS had a race within 2 hours of you, would you go?
Mike and I drove to Vegas and met up with Bruce.  There exist photos.  Need ye further proof?

8: If IRL had a race within 2 hours of you, would you go?
"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that <racing series> long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed."
Interestingly, written to a different King George ...  :naughty:

9: If NASCAR had a race with 2 hours of you, would you go?
See 6.

10: If CCWS was on TV at a reasonable time, would you watch?
Always.  And DVR when it's not reasonable.  They just need to stabilise the damn scheduling.

11: If IRL was on TV at a reasonable time, would you watch?
I don't.  I refuse.

12: If NASCAR was on TV at a reasonable time, would you watch?
I generally don't.  I acknowledge that they worship the same Gods of Speed that I do (albeit at children's church), but watching a bunch of spec cars turning left for three hours is, for me, slightly more boring than watching paint dry.  And don't even get me started on 'Yota (and now, GM) designing ground-up obsolete engines just to play ... However, as a long-time Villeneuve fan (going back to that guy named Gilles), I'm more inclined to watch now than ever before ... We'll see.

13: In 1-3 sentences, what is your general opinion of CCWS?
In principle, I loathe spec series.  That said, after the Honda/Yota spending war, plus the ravages brought by King George and his unwarranted war of aggression, spec was the only way to save the series.  I feel that CCWS has passed its nadir, and is in the ascendant ... More to follow, see 14 ... ;)

14: In 1-3 sentences, what is your general opinion of IRL?
I truly wish that (in all forms of racing) it was "like it was", specifically more of a sport and less of a business.  Costly this open-wheel war has been, and costly it will continue to be, for all involved, until it is resolved.  None were blameless in the launching of the war, but a clear eye will see that which has been open to change and merger, and that which has been open to assimilation.  (sorry, channeled the real Yoda for a minute.   )

15: In 1-3 sentences, what is your general opinion of NASCAR?
The 900-lb gorilla of American Motorsport.  They understand marketing (I still can't believe they allowed the mention of the sport's true roots in Talladega Nights but that's another thread), and ... series that many of us follow could learn much from them.  Of course, some series are in bed with them, but still not learning ...

I don't do surveys, but I agree with Yoda for the most part. I will never ever put out a red cent for the gIRL and I solve my NASCAR fix by tivo so that I can ban the comercials and the bs.

1: If Champ Car (CCWS) had a race within 30 minutes of you, would you go?
Yeah i would go as it looks like a interesting racing series.

2: If IndyCar (IRL) had a race within 30 minutes of you, would you go?
No. Not a chance in hell.

3: If NASCAR had a race close within 30 minutes of you, would you go?
It all depends on wheather its a road course or not. If its a road course i would go but if it were a oval then not a chance in hell.

4: If CCWS had a race within 1 hour of you, would you go?
Yeah. 1 hours drive is not far to see some quality racing

5: If IRL had a race within 1 hour of you, would you go?
No.

6: If NASCAR had a race within 1 hour of you, would you go?
Again it all depends on if its a road course or not. I would go to see Nascar  on a road course

7: If CCWS had a race within 2 hours of you, would you go?
Maybe. 2 hours is a long trip. It will all depend on what the track is (is it a interesting track or boring).

8: If IRL had a race within 2 hours of you, would you go?
No

9: If NASCAR had a race with 2 hours of you, would you go?
Maybe but again only for a road course.

10: If CCWS was on TV at a reasonable time, would you watch?
Yes i would. Its on at 3am here which isnt a very frendly time.

11: If IRL was on TV at a reasonable time, would you watch?
No.

12: If NASCAR was on TV at a reasonable time, would you watch?
Only the road course races

13: In 1-3 sentences, what is your general opinion of CCWS?
Its probably one of the best open wheeled racing serieses in the world. Obviously not as good as F1 but its still interesting viewing.

14: In 1-3 sentences, what is your general opinion of IRL?
Its all oval racing so im not interested.

15: In 1-3 sentences, what is your general opinion of NASCAR?
Nascar is only interesting when they are on a proper race track. Then they are abit like V8 Supercars which is a series i really enjoy watching.
