Dont get me wrong I don't hate JV. Its just that he's never impressed me and I actually feel sorry for him he must be quite embarrassed by his Renault showings, even if he did have a year off. I was pointing out that testing times this winter dont really show who's going to win in March, JV was just an example cos someone said "hey didnt u notice JV topped the timesheets"

I want point out something here: I NEVER SAID JV WAS GOING TO WIN RACES BY TOPPING TESTING.

and two; I think I mentioned in another post that these were in the rain and you need drivers like MS to see how JV compares( be any testing and whatever parts they may test the times are not going to vary drastically from car to car or test to test)

Alonso was outclassed all season by Trulli, except in France, and JV was never gona do anything, and the car takes ages to get used to, then they should have used their test driver Montagny, not JV!!!

i felt sorry for the poor bloke at monza, with all the stuff Briatore was saying im not surprised he didnt drive like his usual seld. But Trulli had more points than Alonso and got 2 poles and a win. Face it Trulli is better than Alonso!!

way way Trulli is mot a bad driver..but as jems said let's face it Alonso is better..last year Renault was a difficult car to drive,Jarno had more experience and in the early satges of the season he was better..but when he broke ties with Briatoe he started to perform bad..and this is not because Briatore did want to..Bria is not stupid and I don't think he was looking to lose the 2nd place in the constructor championship...Trulli has simply struggled because he probably didn't show enough mind consistency...

If you have watched all the races FA is certainly more consistent than Jarno. On his days Jarno might have beaten FA but if you take the all round performance I think FA is better

Yes Jemstride, i did, if you did so you must have realised that FA had more problems with the car than JT. In two years with renault FA had scored points in all the races he were able to finished but in one (Silvertosne 04) JT had finished out of the points lots of times driving the same car (sometimes even a better one) Do you want to talk about stats? This are stats mate Of course JT had been better than FA sometimes (maybe 1 out of 10) in the same way Sato was sometimes better than JB, RB than MS and DC better than KR.

Alonso is rubbish. He's about as good as Jan Magnussen. He spun off qualifying in malaysia, crashed into ralf at monaco. spun off at monza, and there's more
