Sakae 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2017 Looks like Ferrari might be considering M-tire to cover most of their forthcoming season, while opponents are riding mostly S, SS, and US (at least in those tests).

Sakae 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2017 I am not sure why Ferrari blocked Vettel to finish his flying lap yesterday. More than once, actually, but let this one to go ahead. For quite a while I have feeling that relationship between Ferrari brass and Seb is not 100% trouble free. Bottas seat is not guaranteed for him, I think. Bottas might retain it, Alonso might be interested, and Totto doesn't likes Seb.
BradSpeedMan 6 Report post Posted March 10, 2017 I predicted a difference of 0,3-0,4 between Ferrari and RBR. And this is simlly my own estimation folks, don't get too excited, barring fuel loads unknowns

Seb got stuck behind TR, and it took him a lot of effort to pass, and that was without TR driving defensively.
BradSpeedMan 6 Report post Posted March 10, 2017 I wonder if it was a low fuel run Sakae... strange Autosport estimated a 0,5 last corner to the start line, wouldve been 1:18.700's. Might be tight between the Ferrari mates Edit: For Seb I meant
BradSpeedMan 6 Report post Posted March 10, 2017 Yes...Thats it then. I feel Seb will be faster.
radical-one 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2017 Ferrari is definitely a force to recon with. There's no doubt about that. Whether they are actually faster than Merc is not measurable at the moment however, they showed that they can go head to head with Merc and is on the right direction. I want Merc beaten this year - Go Ferrari !
Emmcee 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2017 Yeah well according to the paddock we will have three cars at this present time fighting at the front but Iam not saying anything yet, still to early IMO.

Caesar 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2017 I don't trust test data. Last year Rosberg said that Ferrari is very close, but he doesn't know if they, ferrari, are faster or litle slower than Merc. Mind games .
Sakae 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2017 Data are what they are. Correct interpretation of those matters, namely what they reveal, and what they hide. First three are in the ballpark in terms of performance, and are able to create jam on pointy end of the grid, whereas some others will be happy to finish a race at any speed. So much is clear already. Despite new specs and worries that this is going to be 2014 all over, well, there is no need for that kind of panic. At least I don't think so. Not in the first three or four races. After that when new pieces begin to show up, all bets are off. Sakae 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2017 I will say only just like in 2014, it wasn't as bad as some people ended making of it, lambasting a one specific driver. This year it has actually started already on the internet, that some armchair experts declared Ferrari 2017 a fake, because based on historical records car is not as stable at the front as (their beloved) RBR, Williams and McLaren. Without Alison (again), it is Italian disaster.
