It seems to me a really dangerous situation.........Maybe mister Max Mosley along with Charlie Whiting will have another genius idea next year and will introduce a one tyre set for two races rule

Well I think it would be hard to argue that the tyre ruling is not dangerous after Raikkonen

yes but why do we have a situation like that where ron dennis must make a safety call which potentially affects other drivers and spectators alike?

there really is nothing that can be done this season, but i hope something can be done for next year.

maybe they should keepthese new tyres though as the wear is not bad at all, and maybe allow 1 change of tyres per race! rthats wud e good, and would probably stop nearly all tyre blow ups etc!

Hello to everyone !! My first post !! I am from the United States ! Believe it or not...some of us love F-1 and are not very fond of NASCAR !! Excellent comments on the race and tire regs !! I would like to give note to the restrainig cables that kept Kimi's wheel from flying into the crowd !! I was amazed the wheel stayed with the car !!

welcome to the board. Yeah those restraining cables, called tethers, did a brilliant job keeping the tyre attached to the chassis. As for this tyre rule, I feel it was stupid in the first place. I read an interesting article on pitpass.com where the editor recommended tyre stops be brought back, but they had to be seperate from fuel stops. So you could have a driver who isn't good with their tyres go out, destroy them trying to build a lead, whilst a more conservative driver, say a Button, could easily make it without tyre stops due to his smooth driving style. It'll be like the 80's and early 90's!!
