Fia To Punish Teams Instead Of Michelin

Recommended Posts

I don't mind if people want to have a different view, but they should also respect mine too and as you say it is held by the majority of fans.

Mountain? 3 people aren't a mountain when you know 300 people who agree with you.

There are very few impartial but knowledgeable and clear-thinking F1 minds out there. Most have been polluted by years of Ferrari dominance and see a red-mist anytime there is an oppurtunity to form and express an opinion on a matter that could conceivably be related to Ferrari. At the same time, most of the teams (who have most of the fans, particularly in the English speaking world) run Michelins, so it comes as no surprise to see a majority favouring their position. This does not sway me in the least.

How does that relate to my view? Please tell me where I have put Ferrari into it. I haven't and I have said it was mainly Michelin's fault.

My letter was simply doing something about how I feel, because there is no point complaining if you unwilling to do anything about it - which is what a lot of people do!

I respect your right to an opinion but I do not respect your opinion. It is illogical.

You have not made any sensible argument that the Michelin runners could not have otherwise raced by entering a separate, clearly marked and strictly speed-limited lane through Turn 13.

You have equally failed to explain why the Michelin runners could not have otherwise raced by driving through the pit lane on each lap.

This I congratulate you for.

What is the penalty for not putting your speed limiter on or for going to fast in the pit lane? A drive through. Well that answers the second bit and the first bit - it would have made just the same farce and there is nothing to enforce them going slower. It is only illogical because you never reason with anything but your opinion as that is your perspective.

Sorry I was busy doing other things - sigh but thats wrong too and less of the 'woman'.

Why change the rules for this solution but not for others? Really logical...

The other tyre company...not the teams.

There were no workable solutions IMO and I have my reasons if you can't respect that then just don't reply especially if you expect me to reply every few minutes - I have better things to do..

Explain what you mean by the first sentence.

You do not have a reason why the solutions I proposed would not work and you therefore have no basis for the second sentence.

Which one?

The pitlane one wouldn't work because the penalty is a drive through and Max has said he wouldn't change the rules and that is how it got to the farce we had.

The other solution is just as big a farce as the one on Sunday and Kimi for one would have raced at full speed at least once. {note his reaction to this weekend}

A reply from Toyota:

Dear Kay!

Thank you for your message. Since the disastrous events at the Indianapolis GP we have received many e-mails from people wishing to express their disgust for not participating in the race and spoiling entertainment for all viewers, but also many messages from people who support our decision. We wish to emphasize that all you disappointed fans have our full understanding and sympathy for feeling let down. Especially the people personally attending the GP have real reason to feel dissatisfied, but the reason for making this decision was for the safety of our drivers. Too many good drivers have lost their lives in Motorsport; we do not wish to add our drivers to the list and the sport in itself is already dangerous enough. The decision to withdraw from the race was a joint decision with all other teams running on Michelin tyres, and we are convinced to have acted appropriately when following our tyre manufacturer

windsor sent you a personal mail which was pretty good of him, ITV never replied to me (though my mails were mainly to the tone of sack James Allen :P ).

Well 3 replies isn't bad considering more should come after the hearing - some teams won't want to say anything until they know where they stand
