Well if a driver does it twice in a season its considered dire. How many times has Sato done something like that this season?

It was a separate incident hence a completely different punishment.

No it was a separate but similar incident. If BAR are caught blatantly violating the rules again in a similar way to the fuel tank business, you can be sure that not only will the 6 month ban be imposed, but the team might be out of F1 for good. Sato's previous offences are very much relevent here, it is surprising he was not given a race ban, perhaps because it is the last race of the season. A suspended ban should nevertheless have been given, to be imposed for similar offences in the future.

This wasn't the question though, i was asking about would you blame someone, just because a driver says it was their fault. I know I like to make my own judgements based of reasonable evidence.

It looks likely it was Sato's fault given the lock-up, no doubt, but i want to see something from an angle where i can tell where trulli is turning into.

there was a few picutres on formula1.com that makes me think Trulli turned in for the apex, which you don't do with a driver beside you....

It's a case of them both blaming each other, but I believe Sato to be most at fault.

At least when Webber is involved in an incident which is his own fault he just doesn't bother with the usual tactics and accepts fault, maybe if other drivers did that there would be lesser penalties

Indeed, he does seem to admit when its his fault, like in Spa in 2004. Still, I didn't know Sato had blamed Trulli!

This makes me more interested in the incident. Perhaps it was Trulli's fault and im not being overly biast!

Well from all the comments I have read he is pointed towards Trulli being at fault as he takes none himself.

My first thoughts when I first saw Sato go off into the gravel on lap 1, and then after this little incident, were that Senna is going to have a field day with this!!!

Well, I really don't think I should be commenting on this considering that Jacques was in an incident himself, but what the hell, I think this is further evidence that Sato is out of his depth in F1. I don't see Jarno as an irrational type of guy and he rarely loses his temper, so I can wholly understand his outburst, and I have to say, I agree. Yes, the camera angle wasn't the best, but Sato did go in full tilt with wheels locked up and just seemed to drive square into Jarno and shove him off.

This Honda 'b' team better have a big budget if they're thinking of hiring Sato, it's hard enough to run a team with two cars still in one piece, imagine this new team's repair bill, Sato himself will make the team bankrupt!
