Game Over For Jv?

Recommended Posts

However, it also seems to imply that BMW were actively looking to offload JV in favour of another driver. Although I hope it is not so, what would JV's mindset be like if he ends up driving for a team who didn't want him there in the first place, but have been forced to keep him because of a watertight contract?

yeah that thought about BMW looking elsewhere looks to me as though JV may well be out of F1. If JV does end up racing for BMW, knowing full well that the team don't want him - sorry, main BMW boards, the engineers and Willy Rampf recommended the team keep JV, which is very important as ultimately these are the guys JV will be working with -then I think JV is the kind of guy who'll use this to his benefit. He'll see this as yet another challenge to prove others wrong, and hopefully race his way into a good seat in 2007.

If they haven't already, BMW will show their colours in this episode. Are they in favour of an experienced builder like Villeneuve who the engineers reccomend or one of the flashy, media-friendly youngsters who the marketing and PR staff are surely in favour of?

F1 these days seems to prefer the latter over the former, so I'm not confident.

Kimi beat Montoya, who is almost Sato esque in his lack of judgement.

Oh dear, that's true of the whole season but on the form of the last few races Montoya was quite superior, like beating Kimi in Brazil for the second year running and that made all the goldenboy's fans cry even though KR would have lost the title even if he HAD won the race.
